El-Rrey
http://yugioh.wikia.com/wiki/Royal_Oppression Blackwings are playing this nowadays, Lightsworns are playing Krystia nowadays!!But can Lightsworn get along with Royal Oppression??You finish a nice swarm of Lumina then when your opponent attempts to special summon, bam you activate this!!First, your opponent will be surprised, then he will try to remove this card from the field since a lot of today's decks depend on Special Summoning!!Then, you can play as usual!! I know very well that this card is outclassed by stuff like Krystia or Bottom but let's just discuss, let's hear what YCM think!! P.S: Just tell me where to post this kind of threads if i'm in the wrong section please!! It's not a DISC!!!
-Berserker-
Oh yeah. It works wonders. You summon Herald of Creation, activate this, and try to summon Judgement Dragon every turn until your opponent goes off of LP. You just changed the meta forever... Dark_Armed_Zombie
I don't really think they can. Part of the reason Oppression works with BWs is because they can run off Normal summons and still SS synchros (Vayu). I haven't seen LS with Kristya, but I assume it's played differently than BWs with RO.
GenzoTheHarpist
No. Traps in general aren't very good in LS because they're unusable once milled. So, decree and beckoning is usually it. Blackwings work with RO because they actually have cards that can get around RO and SS anyway, while LS has none.
Fraz
It works because when you activate it you net a +1 or 2. You then have a big guy out and have limited your opponent's options.
GenzoTheHarpist
If LS uses RO and then gets lightning vortexed or something, they're really down without a paddle.

GenzoTheHarpist
No, you really don't... try winning an duel with LS, while prohibited from SSing. I don't care if you have honest (unless you've got like 3), you will not fair well.

GenzoTheHarpist
Yes, because it's easy to destroy. On the other hand, if you're willingly allowing it to remain on the field, that's a problem.

Psycho Shocker Android
You won't win with LS but if you're playing Twilight, Royal Oppression won't stop you from dropping a huge Tragoedia. Also, you can summon a LS like Ehren backed with an Honest and tribute it next turn for Celestia.
Crimson General
Oppression works in alot of things as long as you're a good player. At locals yesterdya I ran Vayu-sworn and this guy who thought he knew more than me who was running Adam Corn's Dark Monarch chaos- thing whatever it is. He flipped up opprssion on Vayu, nublet.... El-Rrey
If LS uses RO and then gets lightning vortexed or something' date=' they're really down without a paddle.[/quote']True fact, if Lightsworns get vortexed, they will have a hard time to set up again if they are prohibited to special summon but as Fraz said, they will still have the edge!! You won't win with LS but if you're playing Twilight' date=' Royal Oppression won't stop you from dropping a huge Tragoedia. Also, you can summon a LS like Ehren backed with an Honest and tribute it next turn for Celestia.[/quote'] Yeah, a shame that RO doesn't negate Tragoedia or Gorz!! This could be the reason why Krystia is more playable in LS (because neither player CANNOT special summon and not negate)!! I don't really think they can. Part of the reason Oppression works with BWs is because they can run off Normal summons and still SS synchros (Vayu). I haven't seen LS with Kristya' date=' but I assume it's played differently than BWs with RO.[/quote']Actually it's Krystiasworn, i supposed you have already heard of this!!4 Fairies in the grave ---> Special Summon the dude ---> Get one Fairy back to the handEven better after a JD or 2!! Manjoume Thunder
They obviously can. Every good deck can main Oppression and still win games. IIRC there was that Silverman guy (cool name is cool lol) who topped LA with a a couple of mained Oppressions in his PureSworn build. And maining Oppression isn't that strange. Last format LIM was a very popular card for LS decks.
