Excuse me for a minute while I sticky this thread until the end of Monday/Tuesday. I want people to know what Overpowered is. I'd seriously consider this card being Limited or Bannable (depending).

Feel free to edit the post as needed etc Saikano.

Lol... Me and -Griffin are on the same page with the Creative and Balance stuff on YCM. It's only natural if I'd spot a thread that teaches it I'd give it a perk for however long.

Y'know, I was one of those idiots who thought that high ATK was pretty good.

Then I started reading the TCG Section.

You guys and this card taught me a little too much.

So we've once again established that a good amount of people who frequent Custom Cards are terrible at the actual game' date=' [b']especially Oleon4.[/b] What's new?

Mah drawing... Also, I made this thread before Tronta tried to prove that...

You go on Yugiohnetwork. You know I have beaten the Admin, the Mod, the Champion, the Top Members of the Leaderboard and almost everyone important there. Now do not insult me as if I won't read this.

Just because you've beaten a few "top" members doesn't automatically make you the BEST FREKING PLAYUH EVUH!

And you need to understand that he made the assumption over your playing skills because of your post.

Online dueling is for babies who are afraid of IRL.

Or for people like me who'd much rather spend that money on food and console games.

Only money I spend is on entry and sometimes sleeves.

The assumption that it takes a lot of money to stay active and be good in this game on a competitive level is wrong.

@Above

Yugiohnetwork means nothing' date=' the players there are worse than DMO [u']or[/u] DME.

DMO or DME?

Who are they?

...Why do I feel like I should know?

@Tronta:

The original title of this thread was Instant Fusion +2 or something, I believe.

Duel Monsters Online (Pay-to-Play Duel Monsters program by Konami).

Duel Monsters Expert (Free-to-Play Duel Monsters program on the Byond Network). Heavily Anime Based (the preset anime decks pretty much godstack or whatever) making the game very... RP and n00b friendly. It's only saving grace is that it uses OCG Names rather than TCG, and that isn't saying much.

At this point I'd like to say that this card is nearly as overpowered as a Spell card that would say "Increase your opponent's Life Points by an amount equal to their current Life Points." By itself it seems useless, stupid even, as it would be a waste of cards. But add in one specific card (in this case Instant Fusion), and it becomes broken. In my example, consider Bad Reaction to Simochi, and you see where I'm going. The point is, there are cards that are broken in and by themselves (such as Monster Reborn or Dark Hole), and there are cards that are only broken when used in conjunction with other cards (and of course almost every broken card requires another card to use decently, I'm just referring to those cards that have specific combos which make it broken). In this card's case, it would be borderline broken (probably Limited instead of Banned) even without Instant Fusion. In a deck with Prisma and Beastking and a Fusion engine (aka almost all Fusion decks), all you have to do is put in some Sacred Cranes, and you can pull this guy out. Then, Re-Fusion, Call of the Haunted etc... the hand advantage is very cheap. So yeah, it is Instant Fusion which makes this card bannable, but it would be Limited in its own right as it is.

So what happens if a person doesn't know about Instant Fusion? Most likely he would oversee the advantage of a +2 in favor of the need to donate at least 3 cards to Summoning him. That's a naive way of thinking, of course, as there are ways to spend less than 3 cards to Summon him (if you're using Fusion Gate, for example). But still, without Instant Fusion, he doesn't seem that overpowered. What happens if you forget Re-Fusion exists? Not that bad, eh? Well, my point is, if you just happen to forget a couple of cards (among the thousands of Yugioh cards that have been released) exist, then you can easily miscalculate the value of a card.

Don't be so quick to judge, then. You may think you're some sort of balancing Gods, but everyone makes mistakes - Konami included, and they are the ones who made this game. So yeah, cut people some slack. You don't have the right to gauge who is a good player and who is not, much less do it from something as trivial and largely irrelevant as balancing a card.

who's judging saikano? he made it to troll. he knows it's broken.

furthermore, why dont i have the right to gauge who is a good player and who is not? i have free speech, and a computer to hide behind. i can say whatever i want. i can spend the next 10 hours of my life arguing that you are, in fact, a penguin. and i have every right to do so. you, on the other hand, have every right to not give a sheet about what i think. which is the right you and anyone who doesnt like criticism should be exercising.

moving on, judging a card's worth or in other words, tcg theory (or would that be ocg theory now? whatever), is one of the many marks of a player's ability. if a player sucks at judging a card's worth, then the player can be said to suck, mostly because they will build their deck with shitty cards, while not understanding the value of the cards they arent including. the person creating the card would need a near encyclopedic knowledge of other card effects, and as such can be forgiven for making mistakes. the person who judges a card this way or that way without really understanding what he's talking about, on the other hand, is an idiot.

honestly, since your post seems to be defending saikano, i'm going to chock this post up as another example of someone who began to read a topic, stopped 2 sentences in, assumed he knew better than everyone else, skimmed the rest and then posted a long rant, thinking to put everyone in their place with his sage wisdom. saikano made this card to troll. in fact, 4 posts up there's a comment by someone saying that the topic was originally called "instant fusion +2". if that isnt A) a big enough hint and B) a good enough indicator that you failed to read the topic, then i dont know what is.

in short, your opinions are misplaced and your condescending peacekeeping is unappreciated. get over yourself.
