I havent touched a member in General for ages. Except LiE yesterday o_O... But that user was insulting everyone in General truth or not (which you know I believe what Dissonance said to an extent >_<"). And I went with my basic defaults on all custom warns.

We follow the same rules as everyone else, but to what extent we take the warns etc is left up to the moderator. And don't use this as an excuse to attack me, because I don't really feel like typing up another wall of text as soon as I wake up. My policies are working extremely well in the upper sections, and if you've been paying attention at all to besides what I said to Dissonance, Im extending it here. If out of pure lazyness and disgust at the attitudes.

I will compare you to FD, because he actually knows how to run General. I doubted his ability to Mod anything but Video Games before, but he's proven to be a decent Mod, unlike Hunter (who was your choice, ironically) who banned everyone for speaking against him. Sounds similar to what you do when you're in a bad mood, tbh. Yeah, your policies supposedly work extremely well in those upper sections. You know, the place where Rag can post hundreds of times a day and people post "nice card 8/10" and get away with it. Here's a tip: Keep your policies in the upper sections and don't bring them here, because people who only post in the lower sections clearly aren't worth your time.

Are you seriously telling me that we're banning people for speaking the truth now if they didn't do it nicely enough or if that truth isn't terribly convenient for us or if we're in a bad mood or if it's the second Tuesday of the month and we aren't wearing green hats? I can't even articulate terribly well why the truth must be permitted, since it is such a fundamental truth that it is akin to explaining why stabbing people in the face is not a good way to make friends; nevertheless, it is most certainly true that the truth must be permitted to be spoken. Really, I shouldn't have to explain why. This shouldn't be a theorem; it should not require proof. This should be an axiom; we should share some fundamental notion that it is true and accept it as such without proof.

 

At the very least, though, I can point to the real-world versions of flaming rules. They're called "libel" and "slander", and guess what? In most countries with anything resembling free speech, it's not libel or slander if what is being said is true.

ITT: You didnt read what I said when I caved. Even if I did revoke it the warning, Post Moderation would still be in effect (if the duration didn't wear off).

 

And it was not forbidden in the traditional sense, it was acted upon due to the way that General works. If one speaks of such a truth to that degree, the users will think (or at least act) like they're above that majority. Crippling the whole purpose of saying it. Should we let that mentality just fly and stay? If so, I won't act on such a thing again. If not, well... Alls well that ends well.

Take the following example, when someone is born, people usually make predictions about what the newborn will be when they grow up. If someone said "He will die." Which is an obvious truth.
