jayjack
I think re-makes are a sign of increativity and do not belong here0/10 Yeah' date=' it's [i']totally[/i] uncreative to give VANILLAS effects. Think about this, when you make a card with a picture, you're pretty much remaking a Vanilla Card and giving it an effect. Those who don't embrace the truth fail at life. Make your own card instead of recreating an existing one. Nearly every archtype has a vanilla monster. And those who always b**** over everything also fail at life. I don't need to see you jabroniing about s*** in my threads. I already explained that remaking Vanillas is pretty much the same as making your own cards. Do I have to explain it more? Eh, I have some time. Vanilla Cards: No effects, just picture and Flavor text.Your Own Cards: You used a picture, which doesn't have any effects, nor a Flavor text. You give it an effect. You just remade an Vanilla. What I'm trying to say is that when you remake a Vanilla Card, all you're doing is using the picture and the name and stats of an already existing card and give it an effect. That's pretty much the same thing as making your own cards. Actually, it's quite different. Without having to think about it or work on it, you get an Attribute, Type, Archtype/theme, stats, AND a good picture. You don't have to work at anything except the effect... which means you're more or less cutting your work in half or one-third (depending). But I don't hate on remakes. I just hate on bad ones. For this guyyy... well, I don't see myself using his effect other than to dump "Bestiari" or "Laquari", if I know I'm going to pull out "Darius" to get "Heraklinos" or "Gyzarus"... the chance of screwing up MIGHT be worth the draw. Maybe. Decent card. OK as a card, but total crap for a remake. If you've got 1/2 to 1/3 of the work to do, you should be putting 2 to 3 times the amount of effort and thought into the card effect... it looks like you just put in average. I can't speak for Xander, but how you make cards is DRASTICALLY different from how I make them. Before I make a card, I decide exactly where it's most intended to be used, and how it plays. Then I decide on any attribute/type/atk/def/names that are needed to fit that role, then I make the effect to fit it, then I use the parts that haven't been decided for balance. Having everything but the effect done for you is NOT taking work out of it, it's restricting your options and, IMO, makes the whole card creation process much harder because you have less options to change. For example, if I were making GB support, I'd possibly make it WATER, to let me use Ab-Zero more consistently, or LIGHT, in case I wanted to use Honest with it. I might make the type Winged Beast, to work with Icarus Attack, or make it a Warrior, in case I'm already running RotA for Prisma. When you don't have these options, it's a lot harder to find a niche for the card, especially with something like Andal where the type and attribute stop it from giving any interactions to think about.. Just my opinion on the matter. Spam^Xander Royce - i take back my harsh comments about uncreativity. I tried it myself, it was fun =Dhttp://forum.yugiohcardmaker.net/thread-187826.html

Just my opinion on the matter. Smaller bounds to think in = less work to do With remakes you have less creativity, which sucks, totally, but the whole strategy is just planned out for you. You just pick a good card to fit it (What's GB strategy? Well, it's Summoning "Gyzarus" to destroy cards, "Heraklinos" for lockdown, and then spamming the attack button until your opponent explodes. It's pretty darn easy to fit cards into that.). A limit in creativity is only an increase in difficulty if you don't actually know the strategy you're dealing with, OR if you're dealing with something high in the meta (BWs, LS, etc.). Glads are not high in the meta; they're only decent. So there's no reason for creativity to be limited there. The only other way is if the cardmaker doesn't know his/her strategy. All that's necessary is to make a good archtype effect. And in Glads, that's not hard at all. There's plenty to be had here. I stand by my assertion. Sander
There's plenty to be had here. So tell me, what's there to be "had" here exactly? From what I've understood from your posts is that "this card is too average". The card is perfectly fine and I designed the effect to work out with Gladiator Beasts. I don't have to make the effect drastically overcomplicated just to have some "creativity" in it.
Aero~
well' date=' i get the picture, but you should change the name o.o[/quote']Have you ever heard of remakes? It should be "Gladiator Beast Andal #2". Anyway' date=' good modification of the original. 8/10, because GB effects are too easy to make up.[/quote']No it shouldn't. Did you complain when they remade Obelisk?I think re-makes are a sign of increativity and do not belong here0/10I think your intelligence id=s a very low level and you should leave YCM.
