Thanos, the Will of Death

(Level 8/DARK/2800/1000)

[Fairy / Effect]

While this card is face-up on the field, your opponent cannot lose the Duel except by this card's effect. While this card is face-up on the field, its Attribute is also treated as LIGHT. Once per turn, you can Special Summon 1 monster from your Graveyard that was sent there from the field. That monster's effect is negated, and it is treated as a Fairy-Type LIGHT monster. When that monster is removed from the field, remove it from play. If you control 4 or more monsters Special Summoned by this card's effect, you win the Duel.

Well, what do you think?

Very' date=' very interesting. But having no limit on what monster you can Special Summon from the Graveyard worries me. Also, this card can Special Summon another copy of itself...

Your point? If it's brought out with another copy's effect, then it's just a beatstick that can't end the game.

Not bad, maybe a tiny bit op'd, but other than that, good card. I don't think it would be necessary to have the first part, but then again, it might be. Here, I'm not sure, but I think this might be a little more proper for the first part.

Due to this card effect, my opponent does not lose except by this cards effect.

Don't take me granted on it, tho. I just think that sounds better. If that is how you intended it, 6/10. If not, than 4/10. Sorry, Not fond of instant win cards.

Don't understand why you put 4 or more monsters. Seeing as how this card will need to be face-up for the Win Condition to activate, 4+1=5. You can't have any more monsters out...

But it is a very interesting card, I must say. Hehe, Valhalla loves this card.

First off, it isn't an "instant win" card. It's a "win in 4 turns if your opponent doesn't stop it each time, or destroy the card before you can finish up, or if you have enough monsters in your Graveyard". The first part is part balance (making the fact that bringing back beatsticks just means that they're harder to kill battle-wise) and part combo (reduce your opponent's Life Points to 0 while this card is on the field and your opponent doesn't lose, but once it leaves the field, if their Life Points are still at 0, they lose).

This is to account for potential effects that could increase the amount of monsters a player can control and effects that switch control of more than 1 monster at a time.

I misunderstood it. O.o

But then, this card's Special Summoning effect fits Fairy-Type quite well, so well that the winning condition part seems unnecessary. (I don't know how to put it to words...)

Nice card Hikaru ;)

The effect is really awesome.

Though, it seems like it could be easily abused(provided we use the right combination of cards)

Though, would be a ruling on this, stating: "If the opponent has 0 cards in his/her deck and/or has 0 lifepoints, at the time of this card bieng destroyed, the opponent loses"?

......I'm probboly being oveious. So sue me.

is int Thanos the greek god of death

is isnt that the point

If this card isn't face-up on the field, the opponent can lose to other things. If the instant this card isn't on the field, the opponent has 0 Life Points or 0 cards in Deck or you have all 5 pieces of Exodia or what have you, the opponent loses. Oh, and it's Thanatos that's the god of death. I just wanted to evoke that imagery.

As far as I know Hades is the Greek God of Death

and Thanos is a Marvel Character....which I find very similar to DCs Darkside....XD

on the card....

Nice the effect is Original Enough

Isn't Really Abusable BUT...it can do very bad things to the opponent by summoning such a good amount of monsters....damaging, then dying with the opponent.....

SO yeah I like it...
