Alright guys, normally I'd pussyfoot around as serious an issue as this, but this is too serious this time around.

 

Lately, I've noticed an alarming quantity of new members posting threads here, far more threads by them in fact than by established members. So I took action. New members having the nerve to post topics willy nilly in my glorious nation YCM's Intro section isn't just wrong, it's sick.

 

Back in my day, the confidence to post topics was earned as you leveled up from praising Hunter's and Icyblue's cards and racking up votes from your friends who you bulk-PM'd to vote for you in one-on-ones to gain exp, your friends being random members you picked out from the Online Members' list and talked at length with about how amazing Icyblue's and Hunter's cards were. Now, we have more threads here in Introductions by people who don't even know the meaning of what I just said. They don't know Frunk! And therefore, they don't know our history. Our CULTURE.

 

My beloved YCM folks, let me tell you some stories. They takes place in the real future, no fictional future. Bear with me here guys. The first involves the Sky Pirate kidnapping Team Rocket because they were new members and putting them in a catapult blasting them off again, before retrieving them from the sky with their advanced Sky Boat and repeating the process until they had high enough post counts to know how to be members.

 

The next involves Sky Buccaneer Elton John the quaterniary in his flying sea whale (common at rather clichéd among officers at the time, which will happen.) Anyway, to the point, Elton John the quaterniary, still keeping in note that this is a non-fictional example, promoted one too many "noobs" (aspiring Sky Pirate Captains) to his starboard (made of aerodynamic cardboard). Now, it's customary for veteran trusted crewmen to work in the cardboard starboard so close to the Norwegian Chess Fanatics who'd been taken as slaves so as to reduce the risk of mutiny scrutinizer syndrome of the future letting forth the Mayan Serpent Deities, with Noobs in the Hedgehog Cellars. These Sky Pirates in the Starboard began to seek out other sections of the ship, including the nearby Norwegian Chess Fanatic Slave Quarters, and guess what happpened! I'll tell you later, you'll be surprised, but it involves much "blasting off again" to the ends of the sky resulting in dark turmoil, details can't be elaborated upon because I or the Sky Pirates I'm involved with have problems with the Mayans having been right about it all.

 

By allowing "new members" (as they preach to us to call them as it's apparently politically correct) to post here more than Seniors who earned their rights, by spoonfeeding this invasive species and acting soft towards them and welcoming them, YCM has started to decompose.

 

As YCM's holy knight of justice #8, I propose that we retaliate. We need to show them whose Intro section this is and not let them walk all over us. I summon you, 1000+ posters! Let's take back the night! Post threads announcing the introduction of your new selves, members of a new legion that will not succumb, that will not be swarmed by noobs in ANY section. We will not be outdone. We will not be overwhelmed.

 

With more threads from established members in the Intro section than from new members, we can show them. Also, I elect to create 5 Hedgehog Cellar sections, Alpha to Delta, which NEW MEMBERS MUST POST IN UNTIL THEY STOP BEING NOOBS.

So basically your saying that we need to not be nice to new members and instead just tell them how things will go around here if they start acting up?

You do have a point.

This would be very helpful in controlling new members, but in terms of explaining what will happen if they break the rules, tell them firmly but not in a mean way that they won't come back.

 

So I agree.
