Triangle Games

Recommended Posts

From experience, I can say that it's a fair bit harder to keep one's defenses up in duels like that. Actually, with my Morphs, it has even become near-impossible to win.

For example (and this happens a lot, my friends have dubbed it The [burnpsy's Real Name] Effect), I get a godlike hand, my opponents take turns picking it apart with what they drew, while neither would have been able to stop it alone. >___>

Anyways no reason why they can't work, aside from no official rules for that (unlike the cases of MtG, where there are official rules, and Pokemon, where this cannot be done).

Yugioh emperor?

So, you have two teams of three people each. You sit on opposite ends of the table (like in a normal game).

Both teams select one of their players to be the "Emperor". The Emperor has the middle seat in the team, and the other two sit on his/her left and right side. The two teams sit so that the Emperors are directly across from each other, and the other two players of each team are facing each other.

Emperor's Right Player Emperor 1 Emperor's Left Player

Emperor's Left Player Emperor 2 Emperor's Right Player

The rules are:

The Emperors each have 16,000 Life Points.

The Emperor's teammates (let's call them Soldiers) have 8000 Life Points each.

Emperors cannot attack anybody.

The players can only attack the player across from them (i.e., Emperor 1's Left Player can only attack Emperor 2's Right Player).

The Emperor is free to give his/her teammates any cards from their side of the field.

EXAMPLE:

Emperor's Left Player has Dark Armed Dragon. The Emperor is free, at any time during one of that Team's Turns, to take the Dark Armed Dragon and place it on his/her own field, or place it on the other Soldier's field.

EXAMPLE 2: The Emperor summons The Creator. He/she then places it on his/her Left Soldier's field.

Both teams have a shared field of 15 Monster Zones, 15 Spell/Trap Zones, and have a shared graveyard. A Soldier or Emperor can only occupy Five Monster Zones and Five Spell/Trap Zones at a time.

BASICALLY: It's like Tag Dueling, where each player has their own field. But for the sake of card effects, it's treated as one field.

EXAMPLE: Emperor's Left Soldier controls "Dark Magician". The Emperor or his/her Right Soldier can activate "Dark Magic Attack".

EXAMPLE 2: Emperor activates Mass Driver's effect, and can offer a Tribute from either Soldier's monster.

EXAMPLE 3: Emperor has a monster on the field. Emperor's Soldiers cannot Special Summon Cyber Dragon with its effect or Normal Summon Sirocco The Dawn without a Tribute.

EXAMPLE 4: The Emperor's Left Soldier has Sangan in his/her Graveyard. The Emperor's Right Soldier has Plaguespreader Zombie in his/her Graveyard. The Emperor has Dark Magician in his/her Graveyard. Any player can summon Dark Armed Dragon, since the Graveyard is considered to be shared. If "Call Of The Haunted" is activated, the controller can summon any of those monsters. Any of the players on that team can summon "Plaguespreader Zombie" with its effect.

If one of the Emperor's soldier runs out of Life Points, decks out, or loses in any other way, the Emperor is now open to attack or be attacked by the corresponding player.

EXAMPLE: The Emperor's Left Soldier is knocked out. The opposing teams Right Soldier (the one that was across from the Left Soldier) may attack the Emperor.

EXAMPLE 2: Same situation. The Emperor is now permitted to attack, but can only attack the corresponding player.

EXAMPLE 3: Both teams have lost a Soldier. In this case, the match becomes so that any player on a given team can attack any player on the opposite team.

I think I covered all of it. It's super fun. =D

EDIT: Also forgot, play goes in a zigzag fashion.

Emperor 1 goes first, then either Emperor 2's Left Or Right Soldier goes next. The player opposite of that Player goes next, then Emperor 2 goes. Same process.

Also, I found a link for where the idea came from. My friends and I have changed the rules a bit, though. And I don't think we're the first to come up with Yugioh Emperor, but we're the only ones I've ever seen play.

This....is.....pure.....win.

Also, me and my cousins and lil bros and sis tried to do a 3 on 1 match.

Me, Blakie, and our lil cousin michael vs 504Hustla.

Me = Reactor/Psychic/Anti-heal/Stall/Burn deck.

Blakie = Old School Beatdown

Michael = Sasuke Samurai (How the funk it beat us all is beyond me....oh yeah, he cheated.)

504 = God card deck (Anime effects)

It went...

me, then 504, then Blakie, then 504, then michael, then finally 504.

My lil sis shared decks with Michael, so she told him her playing style....they were the last ones standing because of their knowledge of Sasuke samurai....

He won.

I do this often myself, mostly because most people are afraid to take me on alone outside of the tourneys.

then again, my usual deck works off your deck as well as mine, so when your own attempts to kill me end up killing you, people get frustrated.

but they never get angry at me, since it becomes obvious that they killed themselves.
