Luck.

Do you beleive in it? I prefer not to, I beleive if you want something enough and truley beleive it you will accomplish it.

But I can't help but get little quirks where I think "ah! If I walk from here to there in 10 seconds luck will come upon me and this will happen."

What about you?

Luck is entirely based on individual perspective. What may seem "lucky" to one person may be "unlucky" to someone else. If you get good luck, then later that good luck is the cause of something bad, was the initial luck really good or does it change to having been bad luck?

I feel that luck isn't an actual thing, just a title assigned to coincidental occurrences based on the perceived outcome.

Fair enough, that was just sort of a troll comment.

Okay, true, what one person may consider to be lucky another may unlucky, but the majority of the simple things that happen to us in everyday life that we percive as good means that if it happened to one in a majority. it would be considered as lucky, as humans we have a generalisation on what we consider good and bad, if the good thing happens to us "boy I got lucky" but if the bad thing happens to us, we got unlucky. Few consider it to be unlucky when the majority vote of the good thing happens to us, so I am talking from the majority perspective.

Point. I do agree with using the term/phrase. Like if I almost die; if it's a near-death experience that just misses me, I'd say that's unlucky, since I almost died. But if I was saved from death, not by it just missing me but by a random factor that wouldn't usually have occurred, I'm all "Holy sh*t, that was lucky!" It all depends on the... rarity, or unlikeliness, of the event. I guess it comes down to what each person would call it themselves. Hmm, how about a formula?

Perceived unlikely good event = Lucky. Perceived unlikely bad event = Unlucky.

I just don't see "luck" as an actual force at work.

I'm an extremely lucky person. I leave most things up to a flip of a coin, a roll of a die, or some other form of random choosing. Ever seen the show called "Deal or No Deal"? I would guess a case while watching it and 9/10 times it would be the one that contains the $1,000,000 dollars. A very high majority of the time my luck ends up being good.

Luck is something human created as an explanation of when things get really good for them.

I don't believe in luck.

For instance, let's say you were said by a diviner "You are going to have good luck". Then you go to a train. You arrive at the train station just as the train goes away. However, several minutes later another train, this time something that seems faster than the other one, comes, and you go on. However, actually it would have been faster if you had gone on the first train whatsoever.

This is bad luck that you mistake as good luck. Luck does not exist.

I've got only one thing to say:

As Alexander, the Great said: "Luck helps those who are brave..."

And, even if we don't know it, we are, all, brave... And, yes, I think luck exists.

But the reasons the others said were good.( for ex. "Kenta, The Forbidden One"s.
