Dark_Armed_Zombie
Ok, so most people don't run this in Aliens so they can add some speed to it, but the more I think about it, and play test with it, the more often 1 teched adds so much needed consistency t othem. This reminds me of how GBs have used Test Tiger at 3 for so long and people are just now finding out that GBs are better slower and more consistent (atleast until Bestiari is semi'd) that fast and semi-consistent. Discuss the uses and possible overlook of this card.
darkwolf777
I haven't used my Alien deck in a while, but I don't think I used this much. Usually Cosmic Fortress Gol'gar and Alien Overlord to get counters on the field, and the use of Code A Ancient Ruins to keep the field presence. i find myself putting more Alien Counters on my own cards because there are no opponent's monsters to put them on or they're face-down. My way of aliens always seem to just abuse Gol'gar as much as possible for the win than to end up using a lot of my other Alien's effects x.x;
Guest JoshIcy
You need to wait 2 turns (pretty much) to get it's effect out. Even for Aliens there's better.
Toffee.
... I wanted to make a Plant/Frog deck that runs this. Just so I can be a noob and run 10 copies of Mirror Force But srsly, that would be horribly inconsistant
Dark_Armed_Zombie
Spamming Gol'gar and Alien Dog is faster (and usually better) but I've found myself without either many times and needing A-counters. I'm not saying it's the best, I'm saying teching one has greatly improved the consistency of my deck, it isn't the main drive for A-Counters. Putting A-counters on your monsters is actually a good thing when you spam Planet Pollutant Virus, your monsters aren't destroyed :D

It adds a great amount of consistency (as mentioned) and gives me another card to bounce for Gol'Gar's effect.
Flame Dragon
I've made Aliens in both 09 and 10. In 09 I found that it wouldn't help much or I'd draw it at the wrong time. In 10 I find Aliens don't really need it.
Canadian
Overlord is deffinitly the best source of making A-counters.
darkwolf777
I definitely make more counters with Gol'gar than I do Overlord (maybe because Gol'gar is top priority for me, and how easy it is to actually summon). Overlord is a good way to get counters on all your opponent's monsters though, but getting Gol'gar out quickly may end up destroying your opponent's annoying cards easily. The next best cards for having available A-counters at least for your own effects are Code A - Ancient Ruins and A - Cell Incubator. Ancient Ruins makes great use of your A-counters (and removing it from the field with Gol'gar and returning it back will allow it to use it TWICE per turn making it easy to make more Gol'gars), and Incubator, while not as important, still can gather A-counters easily just from using an effect that uses them, making many abilities cost-less in a way (at least for many of the Alien cards whose a-counter effects just require "any counters on the field" rather than "on this card" Also, Any continuous Spell/Trap card is great for this kind to have for Gol'gar's effect. Call of the Haunted, Prohibition (return their spell/trap cards with Gol'gar, then prohibit them), Swords of Revealing Light, etc.
Toffee.
Back when this card was first made, the meta was slower. So a slower source of A-counters could be used. Now-a-days, A-Counters can be spamed like crazy
TheTurtleOnceCalledGod
[sarcasm]The alien series, like this breeding center, should be censored because it is too grotesque for the younger card players to experience at such young ages[/sarcasm]. Dark_Armed_Zombie
I dunno, I seem to draw a bunch of bad hands and can never have enough A-counters.

Dark_Armed_Zombie
The main reason my hands are "bad" is because I can't make A-counters, but since I've teched this that problem has subsided a bit, not completly, but enough. Monztor
I've seen my friend run aliens and sometimes he gets amazing hands and has gol'gar out mind raping everything. Other times he gets insanely dead draws and is stuck with out monsters, like when I tag teamed with him >_> Although Chain Energies + Gol'gar may not be the most efficient and constant combo, its still pretty scary when pulled off =O
