Debris Dragon Question

Recommended Posts

Okay I know this question has been made many times already, but I would just want to confirm on this.

If you get Lonefire Blossom with the effect of Debris Dragon, will Lonefire's effect be negated? Meaning you

can activate it, but when it resolves nothing happens? Or does it still gain its effect to special summon another

plant because it resolves in the graveyard?

Also another thing, if Debris Dragon gets Machina Peacemaker, and then I creature swap peacekeeper

with their monster, then I destroy it, will I still get to search with peacemaker's effect or is it negated like Lonefire?

Wanted to know because a couple of people said it does work but many forums online say lonefire blossom won't work.

Okay, then I'll just have to suck it up then -.- How about peacekeeper? This is it's first effect.

"When this card on the field is destroyed and sent to the graveyard, you can add 1 Union Monster from your deck to your hand."

Does this also resolve on the field or can this bypass debris dragon?

Honestly, it doesnt make much sence.

Lonefire's effect is suposed to be like: "Tribute another Plant to execute [X]"

But everyone just tributes the same Lonefire, and then its effect goes off.

But if its negated while on the field, tributing for its own effect would still get it to activate.

Lonefire =/= Logic

Because shut-up

It was activated/applies on the field, therefore, it's negated. The reason so many things get around Skill-Drain is because it specifies face-up monsters.

Skill Drain only stops effects from activating on the field. Apparently Debris Dragon just negates the effect as a whole and doesn't care where it activates...or is that wrong? well either way, it doesn't work unfortunately. And there are no dragon synchros that are lv7 beside ancient fairy dragon and black rose, lol great.

...sigh...I'll explain

Skill Drain:

"Negate face-up monsters's effects"

This stops face-up effects from resolving

Debris:

"Negate the monster's effect"

This stops effects that were activated while face-up and continuous effects from working. Remaining face-up doesn't matter.

Neither stops you activating the effect.

With Skill Drain:

Tribute Lonefire --> Not face-up --> Successful

With Debris:

Tribute Lonefire --> Activated on field, doesn't need to remain face-up to be negated --> Failed

Debris negates anything that ACTIVATES face-up

Skill Drain negates anything that RESOLVES face-up

Is it THAT HARD?

When a monster like "Exiled Force" is Special Summoned by "Debris Dragon"/"Black Salvo"/etc' date=' if you activate the effect of "Exiled Force", then the effect will still be negated since it activated on the field, even though "Exiled Force" is no longer on the field.[4']

Lol, yeah I guess theres exploder dragon wing and gungnir, dragon of the ice barrier, but I wasn't planning to run any non-tuner dragons, so theres no way I can bring the first one out. I might try to put in snowman eaters in the deck so i can bring out gungnir.

Yeah Griffin, I got the point in your first comment, you don't have to write the same thing over again.

It doesn't get any simpler than that.

If you can understand it from this, I'm not sure you can be helped ><

Just be sure to ask yourself "Where does this card's effect activate from" and "Where does this card's effect resolve at" and know the difference and how to determine that o.x
