I don't get why people are happy about the annoying lot (Dude and Zu being two of the main ones) being gone. If they are, then we'll just get similar pokemon to take over for them.

psyducks never bothered me it was mainly just those dam zubats and golbats showing up all the time >.<. Geodude was more helpful than annoying early in the game because he is an easy target to level up your low level pokemon that have a move that is super effective against him

Because I'd rather not have it happen. If it does their is a chance we won't get evos for past pokemon. It isn't THAT likely, I know, but it can happen.

Well, in 4th Gen games, only 4 of the 22(?) new evos were available before the national dex. So in the unlikely event this happens, it's still highly likely that they'll be new evos.

Yea, I know. Another problem I have is I can't see having that many pokemon be unusable. Assuming we're getting around 150 pokemon losing around 1/5 of usable ones to evos won't be that good. This leads me to the more rational fear of not having many evos which would also suck since they really helped some pokemon last gen.
