My Quest To Make "Zoa" Usable

These cards were created in for a contest.

This card has an amazing name and a great pic, yet due to its creation period it is bad in the current meta.

I'm going to make it better.

 

 

[spoiler=Monsters][spoiler=Devil's Summoner]

FLIP: You can discard 2 cards to Special Summon 1 "Zoa" from your hand, Deck or Graveyard.

 

 

[spoiler=Kozoan Spirit]

By sending this face-up card from the field to the Graveyard, Special Summon 1 "Zoa" from your hand.

(Well, upon making this card I first named it Kozoan (Ko=Child, N=just something to make it sound childish) but since that was a little unfitting I made it a Spirit.

 

 

[spoiler=Zoa, Cursed Inferno]

This card cannot be Normal Summoned or Set. This card can only be Special Summoned by removing from play a "Zoa" from your Graveyard that has been summoned during the duel. When this card is summoned, you can destroy up to 3 cards on the field. When this card destroys a monster by battle and sends it to the Graveyard, inflict damage to your opponent equal to the ATK or DEF of the destroyed monster, whichever is higher.

 

 

[spoiler=Zranama Zoa, Underworld Ruler]

This card cannot be Normal Summoned or Set. This card can only be Special Summoned by the effect of "Raitus Gan Andraas". During the duel this card's card name is also treated as "Zoa". This card's ATK increases by the number of Fiend-Type Monsters in your Graveyard x400. This card cannot be affected by the effects of Spell or Trap Cards.

(Humanus, the Latin for Humanoid, reversed becomes Sunamuh. Make it Suranama. Sranama. Since Z is better than S, Zranama.)

 

[spoiler=Shi Mobe]

By discarding 1 card when there is a "Zoa" on your side of the field, Special Summon this card from the Graveyard.

(Shimobe means "Servant" in Japanese. Shi means "Death" in Japanese. So it's Shi Mobe.)

 

[spoiler=Infernal Metalzoa]

This card cannot be Normal Summoned or Set. This card can only be Special Summoned by tributing 3 monsters you control. When this card is Special Summoned, Special Summon as many "Zoa" from your Graveyard as possible. The monsters Special Summoned by this card's effect cannot attack directly this turn.

[spoiler=Dark Devil Curtain]

Once per turn, you can pay 1500 Life Points and tribute 1 Fiend-Type Monster to Special Summon 1 "Zoa" from your hand, Deck or Graveyard.

 

[spoiler=Devil's Battle Armor]

You can only equip this card to "Zoa". Increase the equipped monster's ATK by 1300. When the equipped monster destroys an opponent's monster by battle, inflict 1300 damage to your opponent.

 

[spoiler=Raitus Gan Andraas]

Discard 1 "Zoa". Special Summon 1 "Zranama Zoa, Underworld Ruler" from your hand, Deck or Graveyard. Inflict 1000 damage to your opponent.

(Raitus is Ritus, the Latin for Ritual. Gan means "of" in Welsh. Andraas is the altered Andras, meaning Devil, again in Welsh.)

 

[spoiler=Temple of Zoa]

Increase the ATK and DEF of all "Zoa" on your side of the field by 500. Downgrade the level of all "Zoa" in your hand by 1. When a "Zoa" on your side of the field is destroyed, pay 2000 Life Points to Special Summon it from the graveyard.

Negate the attack of 1 monster your opponent controls. Special Summon 1 "Zoa" from your Graveyard.

"Zoa" + "Shi Mobe"

While on the field or in the Graveyard, this card's name is treated as "Zoa". When this card is summoned, Special Summon 2 Fiend-Type Monsters from your Graveyard. These monsters cannot attack the turn they are Special Summoned.

 

 

 

 

 

Also, I beg you to look at every single card before rating all of it as once piece. Or even better, rate each one. If you rate each one 1 rep.

looks like the OCG is just fine for the cards

 

summoned should be Summoned, but that's just capitalization

 

likewise graveyard should be Graveyard

 

only Raitus Gan Andraas is a little bit bland for effect, couldn't hurt to put another one there

i'm not gonna rate zoa because you make it sound like you didn't make which you probaly didn't but you know

devil summoner i think is a good card 9/10

kozoan spirit i think is a bit oped so 7/10 (i mean makes it easy to summon zoa)

zoa, cursed inferno 8/10

zranamaoa, underworld ruler i think is flawless 10/10

shi mobe well balanced 10/10

infernal metalzoa has a good effect but mabey you could make it so that when it was

destroyed so were the zoa summoned by it's effect 8/10

dark devil curtain good 9/10

devil's battle armor quite good but mabey you should take the damage or the monster

that destroyed it also get destroyed 8/10

gaitus gan andraas can't find any faults 10/10

temple of zoa 9/10

devil's rebirth mabey a bit oped 8/10

draco zoa could be so it could only be snchro summoned 7/10

Bump cards...lol.

Anyways, on to the cards. Great, but like a lot of support cards, some of them are a little bland. Not like Zranzama Zoa or Zoa, Cursed Inferno, but Devil;s Summoner and Shi Mobe. Can't see any OCG errors, so you get a point for that. Awesome pics, too. Where'd you get them?

Anyways - I believed Zoa already has great support.

Metalzoa - Zoa - ANCIENT RULES.

Cursed Inferno is perfectly balanced, which takes a lot of skill.

Zranama Zoa is pitifully weak, and unplayable beatstick that serves only as generic support.

Devil's Summoner is balanced enough because you need to Flip Summon it.

Shi Mobe is great Synchro and swarm fodder that backs up the archetype nicely.

 

Lovely pics.

 

Overall, this deserves 8.1/10. It's a good set that does what it should do - give Zoa good support - and it has some nice little tactical quirks.
