Underground Arachnid seems like fun

It's a shame that Pinch Hopper misses the timing so much, Infernity Beetle + Pinch Hopper into Arachnid and another Insect from your hand would have made Solid Insects freakishly awesome.

 

Though Howling Insect into Infernity Beetle and using Howling Insect as food to special summon Aztekipede to sync into Arachnid and STILL getting a normal summon that turn is quite nice as an alternative to Pinch Hopper abuse.

i tech 1 in my WC10 insect deck and thats only because i run Gale and Plaguespreader so i can synch it with Howling Insect or the worm warrior dude if truly needed.

because a -1 to summon only insects from your hand would be so broken.

Fine, Tier 2 Insects. Still, Infernity Beetle and Pinch Hopper into Underground Arachnid + Whatever you choose to summon from your hand and you have fuel to summon Doom Dozer if you happen to have him in the hand at the moment would be quite nice. That's quite a lot of use from just two monsters that both can easily be searched via Howling Insect.

 

Pinch Hopper would be able to do quite a lot if it never missed the timing whatsoever. Hell, I'd go as far to say that all Insects need really is a Viper's Rebith-like card for them and Pinch Hopper to never miss the timing to be a viable tier type. They certainly have a fair amount of decent support and unlike Winged Beasts, it's not all archetype specific <_<
