Guest JoshIcy
Harpie Ruling strikes again and makes this card unplayable.
Saturn of Elemia
Not necessarily, Icy. It can still gain all the benefits of Dark Magician's support - like Thousand Knives, Dark Magic Curtain, Dark Magic Attack, and even be used to summon Dark Sage. It also gains Vanilla support due to its effect (I think). I think of it as a somewhat 'better' version. I like the image, the OCG is fine, and the stats are balanced. I must say, I like this. 9.9/10 for you! 8)
Guest JoshIcy
You'd have to totally replace DM for this <_<... Not a good thing imho.Regular DM decks can turbo summon the original already, largely unneeded card. (For those who don't know, the Harpie Ruling states that any card in your deck that is treated as another card counts toward the 3 card limit). Ghoulish
yea i agree with Icy a simple dark magician would be better, but the pic is awesommee in every way, but it look like itd be suited for a card with a minimum 7 star. 7/

Saturn of Elemia
Personally, the only advantage I see the original having over this is Level and stats. This card's potential just seems higher - as it can be Summoned much easier (being a Level 4), works better with Tuners due to its Level, still gains the benefits of Dark Magician's support (as seen earlier), this one can be summoned out with "Hidden Soldiers" and "Magician's Circle", it's still Allurable, and you wouldn't mind Tributing this thing for DMG to give her a 300 point boost right off the bat. Ah, well. What a fun discussion, eh?

WHAT?! >_> Why a restriction to an already incredibly underpowered card? @Chris: I thought of that, sure. Less LP loss and all that, and with DMGirl being Magicians Circled it's all the better. But that'd totally kill the vibe of the deck >_<". Here's my suggested Fix:For the purpose of card effects, this card is treated as "Dark Magician". While this card is in your Hand, Deck or Graveyard this card is treated as a Normal Monster.OCG isn't perfect but the raw effect is there ^^. LourDeath
maybe "you can only have 1 copy of this card in your Deck"?
Guest JoshIcy
That would STILL follow under the Ruling. Where you would run 1x this. And 2x DM.

The downside is that you'll have to take out the original one for this because you can't have 6 Dark Magicians, but other than its ATK and DEF this is better. I wish something like this existed, Dark Magician could be abused by me like in the old days :3 EDIT:Icy's suggestion is also good, being able to have 6 of them would be nice. OCG would be more or less that, since there hasn't really been an effect like that before to guide from, that can even work from the Deck.

-Griffin
*Walks in expecting the standard level 10 situational inconsistent 'support' boss monster* *Is pleasantly surprised* Nice card. I think that it might be interesting, actually, to keep the Harpie Rule enforced, to allow 2 different kinds of DM Decks. The ones that use this, and low-level support and the ones that use the original, and benefit from higher ATK.

jayjack
Wait, people still use DM? I remember when it came out, people were like "OMG?!"It went downhill from there. Then Neos came out and replaced DMThen SD came out and kinda toppled everything8/10 but i suggest you increase atk to 1900 for a better usage.Icy, this card works great in DM decksYou can add 1 lvl7 and 2 of these. Works well with all cards.skilled can summon lvl7 and this card allows the support to happen/summon dm monsters.
