If we're adding other cards to the topic, the Infinite Imperial Synchro Combo (IIW + Avarice) provides 3 Level 8 Synchros and 2 Level 6 Synchros of your choice, at the cost of 3 fodder cards in your hand. So, in my opinion, Plague still triumphs.

You guys keep comparing Gale and PSZ, and while I get your point, if possible everyone would run both because Gale is lvl 3 and PSZ is lvl 2...

 

PSZ has much more splashability, but it can't replace a good lvl 3 tuner like Gale. Then again, Gale can't replace a good lvl 2 tuner like PSZ, so how can you argue "this one is better than that one?"

 

Edit: Flamvell Magician is a great tuner, but it requires a dedicated engine to be really effective outside of Spellcaster builds. Once again, it's a lvl 4, so you can't really compare it to a lvl 3 tuner like Gale and a lvl 2 tuner like PSZ. Reminds me of when people kept arguing that LV is more broken than Tribe Virus when one is a monster and the other is a spell card, it just doesn't mix.

How do you get 2 level 6s?

The triple Armory Arm in the Extra Deck allow that, and also cut out most of the setup. All you need in the graveyard is Plague and a single Quillbolt, rather than three.

Once again, thank you. Magician is good, but as you said needs dedication to be great. PSZ and Gale on the other hand are great where ever they are used.

I do understand what you are saying, they are both different Lv's , but IMO Plague still gets way more use than Gale and has more uses than Gale outside a BW deck.

I'm personally fond of Quickdraw Synchron. While I realize what he can summon is limited and he isn't close to the best tuner in the game, he can set up some pretty remarkable plays with what he is usable for.

The most action I see Gale getting is halfing a Stardust or being used for Black Rose.

Gale halves the ATK of a monster, and then you summon an Armor Master and run over other monsters they have (if any)
