El Majishan
So the 75th Jump is in NJ which is great for me because I live in NY. Its my first ever Jump event so I'm nervous. So I come to you YCM in seek of advice of my Deck & Side Deck. I plan on running Zero of course but I suck at making Side Decks and I need help with that. Also anyone who has been to a Jump before feel free to offer advice on what to expect and what to look out for. There have been lots of thefts at tournys as of late so keep an eye on your stuffs at ALL times. Also pay attention incase your opponent stacks. I heard about the stealing, but I'm naturally suspicious of people I don't know so I'll be sure to keep an eye on my things. How can I tell If my opp is stacking? I know they "table shuffle" to do it but are their any other patterns other than the 7-6-5 stack? Is it legal for me to table shuffle my opp's deck? And I'm pretty sure you can table shuffle their deck. Not 100% sure though. Doing it this way completely randomizes it. [1][2][3][4][5][6] Place the first card into stack 1, followed by the second card in stack 2, and so on and so forth until the deck runs out. Then just grab them and put them together. ~Oleon~
One thing to look out for - those pesky Metadecks. You are commonly natural to knowing that they're around - but maybe drop in a Royal Oppression, using it at the right time. Now - I trust a few people will be running SD/AM, so be prepared to get those negation cards out ASAP. Only thing I can think of is Thunder King Rai-Oh for Side. sbdnate
I would try to find room for a tech'd Skill Drain. A mained Starlight Road would be nice as well. I would side your second Skill Drain and another Starlight Road. I have also found that PMD makes an amazing Gadget Counter.

sbdnate
- Trag+ Cards I recommended 41 should be fine. -7 tools + PMDs -Dustshoot+ Drain You could also - Dust+ Decree I always found Decree more useful... and it completely kills gadgets with PMD on the field... No D-Prison for them... Of course you probably wouldn't attack with it if they had back row or FD monsters that you were wary of. It also wrecks there attempt to SLR your Zero. Parion555
Well i don't know much about Shonen Jumps since i want to go to one but i never actually had the chance but i think that two cards you should add to your side deck are: 1:Skill Drainand just for safety if anyone plays Gladiator Beast and you need to negate the instant Special Summoning i suggest:2:Mirror of Oaths. It's a pretty good card not only it destroys a Monster when it's Special Summoned from the Deck but you draw a card as well. I guess that's all i have to say make sure you run 2 copies of it if you don't have it i suggest you trade for 2 copies it's a common and since not too many people will be playing Lightsworn now they might go with Gladiator Beasts instead. Unless he can play around his own Skill Drain, he shouldn't run it. As for the Mirror of Oaths, it's a good idea. I personally have it sided as well. Parion555
Okay then maybe the Skill Drain is a bad idea but Mirror of Oaths is definitely useful it has helped me many times in official tournaments.
