I enjoy locals a lot more when I started to not care about winning. That said I don't actually play all that much in person, so eh. Strangely enough, everyone here plays Meta decks from one or two years ago, you rarely see Synchros.

and i dont see why people cant still be casual in upper levels. people seem to think mind games always have to be cold and aggressive. i simply dont agree with that at all.

In short, the easiest and most likely to work "mind game" is the cold and aggressive attitude. Why play anything less?

I stopped playing for a long time because it was expensive to get packs, and I had no one to play with who was fun. I bought a DS to save hundreds of dollars and it's great. It would be great to have DS tournaments...

 

Speaking of quitting, I tried to get my brother to quit because he sucks A LOT worse then I did before I came here. He thinks a "Wind deck" is the deadliest deck ever because his baby mama played Harpies (and she's even worse,) and the last time I talked to him, he was talking about building the ultimate "elemental beatdown" deck with the likes of Chaos Emperor Dragon, Last Turn, Gene-Warped, and Gandora. He also used to have a "non-Tribute deck" because he believed that Tributing is a "handicap" and not a real rule because it wasn't around during the Duelist Kingdom arc.

 

When I beat him, he would get butthurt and make us continue playing until we run out of cards. He then outcarded me and declared himself the winner even though I depleted his life points about 2 hours earlier. Oh, and he took around 10-30 minutes during his turns to sit there and think of which card to play, and the 2 times I played against him took 2-3 hours because he has no concept of strategy beyond what he saw in the cartoon. His only strategies were Marik's Revival Jam Combo he used on Yugi (without Slifer) and Marik's Helpoemer combo he used on Joey, combined with Exodia Necross and Necrovalley. He also believes that assembling Exodia on the field activates the win effect...he's turning 30 this year.

-5 more months of not getting a turn because of infernities

-starlight road stopping all my feeble attempts to use cards.

-fishborg is level 1

-the water support is half assed

-old problems are still there.

-yugiohnetwork is gay. no one knows how to play or speak. it also lags.

-the ice boundary synchros arent out yet' date=' limiting my water deck's stepping stone ability.

-i cant make a level 8 with my water deck.

-xsabers feel just as gay as gbs. but that might just be my imagination.

-infernities.

-the rng on yugiohnetwork screws me every time

if you bothered to look for my deck before making vast assumptions about it, you'd know that i /do/ run a pair of the temples. theyre alright. not amazing though.

and your 3cardtostopattacks combo is sheet.

 

the only thing useful you suggested was running frogs. but frogs != codarus. the decks run completely differently. furthermore, it's also a balls otk deck. thats annoying.

Fine, CARD GAMES ARE SERIOUS BUSINESS! I have been watching the Abriged Series, and Imust say, they have done a better job at representing the dhow then I thought they would have. Anyway, adding one to my point above, RFP based decks. Did you know that they are one of the few Anti-meta decks out there? You probably did, but know Konami is creating Lightsworns (I think it was LS), to counter them.
