A level 4 tuner can easily make level 5-7 synchros with level 1-3 non-tuner monsters, we're just so used to working upwards with the tuner at the bottom. Yeah, but the most commenly used monsters are lvl 3's, 4's, and 6's, so they usually can't synch for anything below a lvl 7. I'm not saying lvl 4's can't synch for most anything, but considering what is usually run (and the fact that he runs 11 lvl 4 non-tuners) it's hard for lvl 4's to synch for much besides lvl 8's. There aren't very many worth while lvl 7's except Black Rose and Armor Master.

Canadian
I find it funny how this thread would be rendered pointless if Synchros had been made non-generic from the start....

Azmodius
PSZ and Gale have purpose in a wide range of decks, so I think they are the best. Krebons is quite durable aswell.

What's your arguement that you can?[/quote']Because the entire concept of Tuning revolves around your Level, perhaps? The deck theme and metagame decides the most desirable level(s) a Tuner should be, and as such a completely valid debate can be made about the Level 3 being superior to the Level 1, 2, 4, 7, etc. Tuner because of what kinds of Synchros are called for and how they're brought out the easiest. Of course the effect matters, but the Level makes all the difference as well. Your last sentence makes no grammatical sense, but I'm pretty sure there was smugness in it. So pretend I'm rolling my eyes and shaking my head as you read that. You can't compare tuners to tuners of a different level. BZZZZZZZZZZZZT And you object' date=' how? BehindTheMask
Flamvell Magician is the second best Tuner' date=' barely behind PSZ. So of course he's the best level 4 Tuner.[/quote'] First off, the thread was specifially speaking of lvl 4 tuners so don't bring PSZ into a topic he has no business being in. So, if someone were to make a thread about Mark of the Rose for example, we couldn't compare it to Change of Heart, Mind Control, Brain Control, Goyo Guardian, or Tragoedia? You could, however, the difficulty is with the nuances. Sure, on a basic level you can compare a set of cards that do similar things, however, after you zoom the scope of your comparison, it becomes obvious that each card is used for different decks. For example, Diva vs Krebons was hotly debated for a while. Even then, the only conclusion you could reliable get was "it depends on what you want, speed vs consistency, and what cards you are playing it with." The thing with your Mark of the Rose example is that each card does something different, as well as take control of a monster. Goyo has a 2800 body, and is in the extra deck. Mind Control has restrictions, etc. But Flamvell Magician and PSZ both tune so they can be compared using the same logic. PSZ CAN be used as a Level 4 Tuner, whereas Flamvell can't be used as a Level 2 one. Also, PSZ can synch twice. PSZ is the best. End of story. Flamvell Magician has themed support in the terms of Flamvell Firedog, and Rekindling. This allows it to be highly searchable, that gets around possible Oppressions as well as Bottomless Trap Hole(obviously). Plaguespreader doesn't have that luxury. Flamvell Magician also has spellcaster support, in terms of Magical Exemplar, Secret Village of the Spellcasters, Magical Dimension, Magicians circle, etc. It also has generic search ability through Sangan. On the flip side, Plaguesprreader has all the zombie support. He can be re-used through Zombie Master, Book of Life and Mezuki and even Il Blud. His effect allows him to be re-used in every deck. Is searchable through Pyramid Turtle and tomato, and sangan. He is special, in the fact that he has 3 Synchros that require him to specifically used for a Synchro Summon. They are also different levels. Flamvell Magician is level 4, so that he will at least be used for a level 5, and up. Plaguespreader is level 2, so he can be used for a minimum of level 3, as well as can be used more easily go into higher levels, as he can use different types of Synchro Materials. TheTurtleOnceCalledGod
Off Topic: You can compare Apples to Oranges. Apples are pomes, which the part that you eat is made of the fleshy accessory tissue, and Oranges are berries, more specifically a hesperidium, a berry with a though skin and has multiple carpels (sections) which contain juices and seeds in the middle. Both are healthy for you, and while they taste, look, smell, etc. everything different, they are still both fruit, therefore can be compared. On Topic: Monsters of different levels can be compared, but one should take the level difference into account when comparing the two and as such while keeping them in separate categories one can discuss them on a level playing field based on their ability to help you win the duel.
