Leeching the Light

Select 1 face-up LIGHT monster your opponent controls. All face-up Attack Position monsters you control gain ATK equal to the ATK of the selected monster, until the End Phase.

Is this worth siding against light decks?

Imagine

Oppenent's Turn : Blow up Field with JD

Your turn: Activate Scapegoat, then Leeching the Light.

Congrats you now have 4 goats with 3000 attack each.

Wait' date=' wouldn't this start a loop with Victory Viper?

In what way? Its the same thing as The Wicked Avatar. When a card states that it has a set ATK/DEF through its effect, as long as that Continuous Effect is active, the card will have that attack.

The Wicked Avatar will always have 100 ATK over the highest ATK on the field (except any "The Wicked Avatar" cards), no matter what outside ATK boosts/reductions there may be affecting it. Setting an ATK equal to a specific value will overpower any increases/decreases.

Option Tokens will always have the same ATK as the Victory Viper they're targeting. Even if you chose to equip an Axe of Despair to your Victory Viper Tokens, it'll gain 1000 ATK, and then the Continuous Effect will bring it to an equal value to that of the Victory Viper, making it useless to equip the Axe on it to begin with. Same if Solidairy is affecting Machine-monsters, your tokens will not have 2800 ATK while your Victory Viper has 2000; The tokens will have 2000 ATK, just like the Victory Viper.
