What are your decks worst match ups? What are your decks best match ups?

 

Why are these match ups bad/good, and use as much detail as possible.

 

What does your side deck look like, to counter these unfavourable matchups?

 

 

I play Frog Monarchs right now, and I'd have to say my worst match up is against Glads. The deck is very good naturally against Monarchs, and the Frog Engine hurts it a lot. I have Mirror of Oaths, and other cards to deal with this stuff, however, it doesn't help.

 

Other than that, the deck doesn't have any other bad match ups really.

 

It does 50/50 against BWs and Sabers. Both decks can rob me of control, and push very fast, however, I can regain control with a Monarch or two. Dropping LaDD also cripples both decks(BWs not so much though, because of Vayu).

 

In mirror matches, it becomes who can out play the other person.

 

Against Infernities, they lose 90% of the time. LaDD shuts them down, and it really hurts them. Battle Fader and Roar make it hard for the opponent to deal damage, and it allows for monarchs to keep on dropping(hurting their big plays).

This is what side decks were made for.

 

Also, Anti-Meta decks are the worst machup for just about any Deck.....

 

But, if I am to go along with the thread, than I'd have to say if your playing with an Empty Jar deck and your opponent is using Infernities, hope to god you can do an OTK, or else your really screwed.

Good against:

X-Sabers sometimes

FlameCat

 

Magical Explosion

 

Bad against:

Mostly anything if I cant get the ftk going...

 

Good against:

Anything if I get the ftk going...

 

Absolute Zero

 

Bad against:

Decks that run 3 starlight road

Quickdraw.dek

Machinas

Gadgets sometimes

 

Good against:

Gladiator Beasts sometimes

Blackwings

LS

 

Sometimes it all depends on how the deck is built and what the persons side is...

Right now, the prevalence of Gadgets makes any deck that runs Cyber Dragon a legitimate counter to my Morphtronics, due to the existence of Chimeratech Fortress Dragon. Unless I can pull off one of their OTKs, then I have to Synchro Summon to keep my Machines out of range from Fortress Dragon. Most of my revival options are meaningless now with D.D. Crow, and both Skill Drain and Oppression are annoying (Oppression being less annoying, since it's easier for me to destroy if I see it coming and side in Slingen).

 

I side Decrees to stop Oppression and Skill Drain, but the best I have to stop CyDra and Fortress Dragon are my mained BTH and TT plus my sided Compulsory Evacuation Devices and Prohibition. It's gotten to the point where I use Limiter Removal just to clear my Machines so I don't lose.

 

Of course, this ignores all of the other issues. If the opposition destroys/bounces my monsters upon summoning or is running GBs, then I lose as well.

for me, the only problem I have right now is this one guy's plant based quick dandy deck, when the synchros don't work,(bottomless, t.t., etc.) he pulls out ty, which is a jabroni to get rid of with my normal answers. have to side in lighting vortex.

 

frogs are normally not a problem if I go first. no first, well, ftk happens a lot, even with 3 hanewatas in my side.

 

I beat machinas in face enough to not be worried about them, certainly when I have defender. (though there are some more light based ones that run elitan.)

I'm playing Bushi Oppression and actually, my worst match-up is GK because of that Necrovalley :(

Even though i can still play, i can't use the annoying Bushi, which hurts the deck a lot. And who sides for GK.

50/50 against Blackwings and Quickdraw!!

1. Everyone sides dust tornados, or at least mains them.

2. Learn what cards necrovalley affects. Bushi is not one of them.

Ugh, I haven't played enough this format to know what my current DHZ is good/bad against, though with all of the 1-4-1 destruction and anti-meta mained, probably horrible v. everything. I probably need to run a bigger trap line-up to match the stuff today, but I haven't played in a tourney in so long and I currently don't have the stuff to finish the deck :?

Oppression Gadgets or DD Crow Wings.

Quickdraw, Frogs, Lightsworn, X-Sabers, Mirror

Why are these match ups bad/good, and use as much detail as possible.

None of them main Oppression at all and have relitively low amount of counter to me

What does your side deck look like, to counter these unfavourable matchups?

DD Crow for Mirror, Sabers, LS, Frogs.

Light Mirror for sworn

Reign Beaux Overlord of DW for Sabers

Other generic side deck cards

True, i actually thought that there a stuff like "Effects that activate from the grave can't be activated"!! Maybe that's an other card!! I actually didn't even say "Say hiz to teh Bushi!!", the mistake comes from me :'(

And for the Dust Tornado, i have one in my Side!! But there are quite often those pesky situations where you don't draw them or those S/T removers when you need them!!

You're thinking of End of Anubis. And the solution to that is to stack your deck. Lulz.

 

I don't play Matches, so I don't side. In the world of reality, I use a Tier 10 Chaos/Dark Deck that does badly against anything better than it. You know, like, anything ever seen in an SJC. And it does well against worse things, unless they stall. Gasp.

 

In WC10, I use a variety of decks, but I never lose because I don't go on Wi-Fi.
