Ok. I havnt played in like 3 years or longer.... I just got back YuGiOh with my wife and we have been using my old cards (And I mean OLD!!!! The newest Card was a Destiny Hero Dread Servant....) I had bought some 5D's packs and a starter deck or two but just opened them and threw them in my card drawer.

 

I just went through it the other day and found a ton of these cards and found 3 Synchros. Road Warrior, Blackwing - Armor Master, and Majestic Stardust Dragon. I have NONE of the Tuners or cards needed but I have a ton of Tuners. Are all Synchros as hard to summon as these three cards or will any generic Tuner work???

 

For example, I have a Tuner called Eccentric Boy. Can I use him (after using Forbidden Chalice to negate his seemingly crappy effect) to synchro summon a monster??? Or do I have to use a specific Tuner????

 

Another thing, Can you use Stardust Dragon /Assault Mode Activate (Or whatever that card name is) for Majestic Stardust Dragon? Or must it be the regular Stardust Dragon?

 

And, if a tuner has an effect such as "If this card is used to Synchro summon a Dragon-type monster it gains 800 ATK" Does that mean it can only be used for a Dragon Type monster or can it be used for any type???

 

This is confusing sometimes..... Any help will be appreciated.

Generic Synchros are so easy to summon even a caveman could do it.

Also, Armor Master isn't hard to summon at all.

You can use him to Synchro Summon on the field if he's negated iirc.

Also, 10+1+1 =/= 10

So you have tuners... but you don't have tuners? Also, if you got Eccentric Boy, you must have had some really crappy luck. REALLY crappy. For you, I suggest just staying with non-synchro decks.

thx M.B.X. and This is the TCG thread. I do not think I need to put this in the Q and A. I am speaking about the Trading Card Game so it shouldnt really matter where I post it. I am not asking where YuGiOh comes from or if this is the Official Card Maker page or whatever. I am asking about the TCG so I think it should be allowed here. Thank you all for your help and I am glad to see some people willing to help those who need it. Just stop being so picky about it. It doesnt matter at all. It's like the difference between tomato and tomato. Some extend the "ay" sound others make it an "aw" sound. It doesnt matter. its the same thing. No need to fight about it or have some stuffy rule.

I have tuners such as Eccentric boy and others but not the ones I need. I.E A Blackwing tuner, Stardust dragon and Majestic dragon, or Road Synchron. As the others pointed out.

A number (majority, really) of Synchro monsters simply say "1 Tuner + 1 or more non-Tuner". Those don't require specific tuners and you can use any Tuner to summon them.

 

Others, like Blackwing Armor Master, specify you have to use a Blackwing Tuner.

 

Still others specify the type or attribute of their Tuner/non-Tuners. Infernity Doom Dragon requires a DARK attribute Tuner. Exploder Dragonwing requires a Dragon non-Tuner. Underground Arachnid requires a DARK Tuner and an Insect non-Tuner, for really specific.

 

Majestic Star Dragon is IMMENSELY difficult to summon, as you must use Majestic Dragon (a 1 star 0/0 that has no effect aside from being limited only to summoning a "Majestic" Synchro monster), Stardust Dragon (a VERY popular and powerful 8 star Synchro monster), and exactly 1 non-Tuner (which should be level 1, unless you used an effect to lower a monster's level)

 

The Tuner you mentioned is Hyper Synchron, which can be used for any Synchro, but if you summoned a Dragon Synchro monster with it, it'll use that effect.

Also, why would I have bad luck if I have Eccentric Boy? Yea his effect sucks majorly, but Forbidden Chalice removes his effect and makes him a Normal Monster for one turn. And I would like to have atleast one Synchro deck. I wish to be alittle more diverse than most duelists. I have Spellcaster decks, Warrior decks, a Ritual deck, a Dragon deck, a Zombie deck, and I am working on a Machine deck, a Dark deck, a synchro deck, and a deck for the Egyptian Gods, the Sacred Beasts. and he Wicked Gods.

 

I am a love having a choice in my dueling and I also used to build decks for people years ago before I stopped playing. Now that I have started I wish to update my collection and build new decks so that in case someone wishes me to build them one, I can.

There is no such thing as a 'synchro Deck'. At least there shouldn't be. Synchros are good to be put in almost any Deck' date=' if you can manage tuners well, not in their own special Deck.

It used to be called Yusei.dek, but then it became specific through Quickdraw and became...well, you know. Quickdraw Plants/warriors/Dandy/thingy/.dek. The Starter Decks have all been "Synchro" Decks.

 

There is no "Synchro Deck" in the same way there isn't a "Fusion Deck" - you use specific fusions for a deck that uses them. Except decks don't use specific Synchros, they use generic toolboxy ones.

 

Here's what you need to do: find someone stupid enough to buy your Majestic Star Dragon, and use the cash to get Stardust Dragon. After that, take over the world.

Because it's a bad tuner that should only be used in SDD/AM Decks, and even then there are generally better choices.

I'm trying to think when Dark Magician and Dark Magician Girl could possibly have been even moderately useful. I guess Dark Magician could be decent with Skilled Dark Magician, but...

 

Well, at least you like Demise, so you have some sense. There's a bunch of new Ritual support like the Ritual Djinns, so he's still very usable.

Um, It's called Spellcasters Command and Spellcasters Judgement. Both Decks are made to be synched with Dark Magician and Dark Magician Girl as well as their counterparts. Both are the lynchpin in Spellcaster decks. If it wasnt for them, then Spellcasters wouldnt be what they are. You have to give respect to the old cause without it there wouldnt be the new. Everyone may worship card Archatypes like Blackwing and Lightsworn but they forget that if it wasnt for cards older cards their precious favs wouldnt be around yet.

 

I adore both the Dark Magician and the Dark Magician Girl. If it wasnt for the Dark Magician I would never have become an avid fan of Yu-Gi-Oh.

So? Those are Skilless village and Arcanite.dek, not "Spellcaster". I wasn't going to go out of my way to mention every Spellcaster decktype, but they've all got more to it than simply "Spellcaster".
