I did' date=' for a month while we were off education on a break. However,[b'] pier[/b] pressure got them when they went back into education. And I agree.

I laughed really hard when I read that.

Yeah smoking's a huge turn-off for me. I'd try and have a conversation about it with them, and let them know how big of an issue it is for you. Would it be a deal-breaker?

It's honestly a disgusting habit.

I hope smokers are ready to deal with lung cancer.

Whenever I walk by a smoker, I deliberately cough so that they can feel bad and get enough motivation to quit.

I honestly believe the corporate people in the cigarette business don't smoke. They do it for the money. Those greedy little *expletive deleted*.

I hate smoking.

May i say, that if the one you love smokes. Explain to them how you feel about it. And ask that they at least lower there intake. Once they have truly done that, try to entertain him/her so she/he doesn't feel the need for a smoke. And sooner or latter she/he might ee your point of view. Also try looking a bit displeased whenever she/he pulls out a smoke but don't say anything. Like slightly sigh, or lower your head, or walk away for a while till she/he is done.

there are manny things to convince a person to stop smoking.

And others, well, the just don't WANT to quit and there is not much that you can do. Sadly.

I understand the withdrawal from Nicotine (sp?) but still when I hear people say "I would quit but its too tough." I really want to tell them to grow a pair and its your own damn fault.

PS: My family has stopped smoking and now hates the smell.

Yes it is hard to quit smoking that is for sure. I am still underway. (thank god I quit when I did lol) But honestly. You can quit. As said, it is only a matter of if you WANT to or not. It's all in the head. (So to speak)

My Dad grew up in a house where both parents smoked, one heavily and one occasionally. He has hated cigarettes all his life and I do too. Smoking killed my grandfather and my uncle, nearly killed my grandmother and gave my other grandfather Stomach Cancer. I loathe it.

My dad has been smoking since he was 15 (he's 32 right now). I don't mind smoking, but I want ever do it. My dad has stated he wished he didn't start smoking. The smell actually doesn't bother me, just don't do it while I'm eating.

Thankfully, he has started cutting back. He used to go through two or three packs a day, but now he cut back to about a half of a pack.
