Recommended Posts

Must be done in PS.

Get a Tech Background.

Put your text (In Aero) onto the background. Rasterize text.

Put a selection box on the text. Move it, so that it aligns with the text.

Repeat these steps for the bars above and below the text, just using bars instead of text.

That's pretty much it for my 5D's text.

Normal text is completely up to you, but I do this:

Matrix Font, any color. Add an outer stroke in a bit of a lighter color of the text.

Do a pattern overlay of the clouds on overlay. Lower opacity so that it looks like a slight Color dodge.

OR, More Detailed:

Matrix Font, any color. Duplicate layer and set to 0% fill. Add 2 or 3 px inside stroke.

Merge down. Add an outer glow (At whatever settings you want) to the stroke layer.

Repeat the above steps on the bottom text layer.

I usually add an lowered opacity color dodge B/W Gradient to add some lighting.

Enjoy.

Sorry for the blurry images. Damn PB Resized them >.>

So, for the 5D's Text, since there are blurry images, if done right, your text should look something like this:
