A devilish stratagy, but one that would be quite fun to use indeed

Nope doesn't work. Not only because of the reason Crab Helmet Stated that TCG Players are worse at the Game and don't follow Rules but it is also because they just don't Understand how the Self Destruct Button Card Works, you can't just activate it and after your Life Points turn to 0 you increase them with Poison of the Old Man. When your Life Points turn to 0, they turn to 0, no exceptions you can't increase them, you immediately lose or it is a Draw in this Case. It is like Exodia, you can't activate anything while it resolves.

It doesn't work. Chains immediately cease resolving when a player's LP is 0 because 0 LP is the end of a game.

Exodia still waits for chains to resolve before you win, though, doesn't it? So two people can win (draw) with Exodia by suiciding their Sangans into each other when they have both have 4 pieces.

Wow... that's really funny :D. I've never seen that happen before.

Hm, then it was just in that video game that allowed that. Oh well.

As for Divine Serpent, it was just proof that the anime was taking the "Orichalcos is unbeatable" theme to an absurd level and wasn't really worried about logic. Evidently, an indestructable field spell that gives the controller's monsters 500 extra ATK and lets you have up to 10 monsters, 5 of which occupy your S/T zone and can't be attacked until your monster zones are empty, an extra "layer" that gives you 500 LP for every monster you control and lets you tribute a monster to destroy a monster that attacks directly, another layer that prevents your monsters from being targetted by effects, a monster that automatically revives itself and gains 500 more ATK if it dies by any means, a ritual monster that summons 4 indestructable tokens that have ATK equal to the monster it battles, and must be destroyed twice if the ritual monster is killed, a monster that negates all battle damage to monsters, which when it's destroyed, summons a monster whose ATK is equal to the battle damage you negated, which in turn summons 2 monsters, 1 that automatically has 300 ATK more than the monster it battled, and 1 that has 300 DEF more than the monster it battles that must be attacked, with the downside being that the one with the massive ATK loses ATK based on the monsters that it or the other two battles after the damage step. *pant pant*...ALL of that wasn't enough. When you finally kill THAT, the theme then summons a monster with Infinite ATK when you've fought your way through all the aforementioned crap, that makes it impossible for the controller to lose until it dies.

does this work? wouldnt the sangans form a chain, and the first one to resolve would win it?

I may be misinformed about Exodia vs chain resolution with my original statement. The last time this was tested was in WC05, where at one point, all cards were allowed in 3s, making Exodia easy to accumulate. That game probably didn't have fully updated programming, though, so I really can't be sure.

Correct; unless my memory fails me, Exodia doesn't interrupt in the middle of a single Chain Link, but it can interrupt a Chain between Chain Links. This means that activating Graceful Charity to draw the remaining pieces of Exodia won't win you the game if the discard effect makes you lose one of them, but the first Sangan to resolve will win the game before the other can resolve.
