Salvage and Avarice put Fairies back in hand to ditch with Herald. Because it'll take a while to kill Herald, Squall can put counters on it. From there, I use Atlus to dump their hand, or Turbulence to nab more tokens, or Nimbusman as an enormous beatstick.

Sure. As it looks like I'll be needing Smokeballs a lot (Herald needs exactly six...)

 

Should I neg Venus for Herald of Orange Light? I want to put that in, as it gives me access to Synchros (like Brionac, who works well with the deck. Also Gugnir) as well as being a Level 2 Fairy (so I don't have to rely on Smokeballs and Sheep Clouds as my Tribute Fodder).

I rely too much on Herald. Counter Counter kills anything Herald can't hit. It was the first thing I thought of when I posted the deck' date=' and I was short on time when I wrote it up. Feel free to pick a better solution to the Counter Trap problem.

...Wouldn't something like Decree be better, then? You opponent's Spell Speed 3 stuff is sealed while yours isn't (gotta love Splendid Venus), and you don't have to spend so much of your hand to protect Herald.

I think you may need stuff like Book of Moon against beaters like RDA or Gottom's!!

I think you should neg the Venuses for Manjus' date=' you will need to serach the Heralds or the Ritual spell most of the time.

Hmmm...well, I've already negged the Counter Counters, so I could neg the Updrafts and run Decrees instead. That actually works really, really well.

i wanna say drop venus to one. it doesnt contibute that much and clogs. side in a second or third against other herald decks or sheet with counter traps. throw in a solemn or some other 1of trap thats nice to have.

 

drop salvage to 2, its great but you dont want one early game. throw in a ryko with that space. its just nice tech to have.

 

actually, come to think of it, dude you have no funking staples.

no heavy, no mst, no bcon, no trunade, no standard traps.. come on man! you at least need a funking heavy.

royal decree is a 2of.

with the limited number of quickplay spells in this meta' date=' trapstun at one or 2 would probably be solid. just save it for a big swing.
