There is no villain.

For a person decides who is who through their own perspective.

They might think the intended good guy is actually the villain' date=' and vice versa.

Death Note, is good for that. (With the whole L Vs Kira thing)

Depends if you like psychotic villians who do coz they can or because they have a bad past or reason to hate someone a lot.

There are essentially two types of villains. The first is the well-written kind; the one with complex motivations that is a fundamentally interesting character. The second is the magnificent kind' date=' designed purely for the spectacle.

And then there are Yugioh villains.

My personal favorites are Aizen, Saint Dane, and Sephiroth. Also, Voldemort sucks, in that he's a boring villain. Seriously. When reading the Potter books, I had absolutely no interest in him as a character. Good villains have interesting motivations. World domination and killing the main character = Boring. Causing the downfall of civilization and creating chaos (Saint Dane)/Killing God (Aizen)/Destroying Humanity and becoming God (Sephiroth) = Interesting.

Saint Dane was monstrous when he was on his way to ultimate power, but once he got there he turned into a greedy punk. And Aizen... he's badass, but he also just wants everything.

For me, a villain is a purely psychotic individual who enjoys only seeing the pain in people's faces. That, or the manipulative, behind-the scenes villain who covers himself in anonymity, making him all the more sinister.

Aizen, Davros, The Master, Fenric, Sutekh.

Everyone mentioned above, aside from Aizen, is from Doctor Who.
