Sander
Never heardt of that Bi-Polar thing O.o before. First time i saw the titel i tought i has something to do with bisexualisme or something xD And this reminds me why I hate most of the YCM's population. No freaking intelligence whatsoever. On topic: Either my aunt is bi-polar, or she's just a jabroni. She explodes for god knows how many reasons. Oh, I left something in the kitchen sink (that I was going to wash later anyways after I finished eating), but no, she just HAS to start jabroniing about how she's not my slave etc. etc. And that goes on all the time, 24/7. No wonder why my friend has to smack me sometimes to calm down. My nerves are pretty much shattered thanks to my aunt.

Flinsbon
OK the first thing I'd like to say is that anyone who thinks Bipolar disorder doesn't exist is just stupid because doctors know it exists, know what causes it, and have medicines to help treat it (not cure it tho =/ ). When a person changes moods from high to low or low to high, it is actually due to a seizure in the brain caused by an imperfection in a specific part of the brain. However, this seizure appears as Bipolar disorder in only half the population that has the imperfection. The other half of the population has Epilepsy. Yes, that's right - Bipolar disorder and Epilepsy are caused by the same condition (and therefore, also have the same medications). As for the people I know that are Bipolar, both my mom and my sister have it. My mom has found the right medicine, so she is fairly controlled, but she does still switch moods. However, my sister's medication is not yet correct (it takes experimenting to get the right medicine and dosage) so she has really bad swings. I have seen my sister switch in about 30 seconds. She would laugh at something, then walk over to the couch and start crying or screaming and yelling over something completely stupid and unrelated. Just as a little note from history, there have been a couple people who were know to have had or suspected to have had Bipolar disorder. It is suspected that Napoleon was Bipolar and it is known that Hitler had Bipolar disorder. No joke, when Hitler was in power, he would plan an invasion and take over a country, then he would hide is his closet for a month.

We're just questioning whether OP has actually got it or is just whoring for attention .-.

MarbleZone
this seizure appears as Bipolar disorder in only half the population that has the imperfection. The other half of the population has Epilepsy. By "half" you mean "around 12%". At least up until 2 years ago, there was no EEG evidence that the same focus triggered both problems, just a handful of case-control studies. I do admit new data may have popped up, but from what I know, it's still far from settled. On-topic though, yes, most bipolar and Asperger cases on the internet are cries for attention. On the odd chance that you really have either, prepare not to be taken seriously. It's best not to share altogether, you'll most likely not be getting any sympathy. EDIT: @Flinsbon: If he answers "lithium", would that prove or disprove anything? Google exists.

Flinsbon
Actually I didn't use Wikipedia at all. My dad read about it in a book on Bipolar disorder and how to manage with people who have it, then he told me in one of his two-hour lectures on generally useless information =/ One time it was so boring, I came up with a math trick on a post-it while he was talking.
