Okay, while staying to stay awake for the Star Tournament, I decided to finish Elfen Lied.

 

I can say that this was arguably one of the best shows I've ever watched. Sadly, I found almost all, if not, everything overexaggerated. The entire chain of events that led up to now was entirely Kouta's fault for lying, and Lucy's fault for freaking the f*** out. If she had took the time to get an explanation, this whole thing would've never happened. Then again, if Kouta had just explained that the person he was going with was his female cousin, Lucy would've probably understood. Unfortunately, they're both idiots. Also, I don't know why people find this anime depressing. The killing is hilarious and the sad parts are usually filled with either cliches, or stuff that just isn't worth making the viewer cry. Regardless, the flash of memories and the final 10 minutes of episode 13 affected me, and made me cry a little. The ending I believe follows up with the manga, because, hell, that HAS to be Lucy.

 

Also, 35's entry and departure into the anime was horribly rushed and just awful.

And the anime had a Missed Chance Of Awesome when they could've had Lucy and Nana team up to fight 35. Instead, they make it so Lucy was the only one with half of a chance. Same with the Lucy vs Bando fight. What was the point of even giving him screentime in the end?

 

I'll be waiting for a Season 2 if it ever comes up. Otherwise, I'll begin reading the Manga, starting at Lucy's/Nyuu's rebirth.

 

Oh, and Yuka is still an annoying b**** who should've been ripped in half by now.

Kouta is a dumbass, I'll agree to that. However, Lucy had a reason to be pissed, because everybody up until this point had lied to her, or deceived her in some way. She was heartbroken. ._.

... and Kouta's jabroniy little sister didn't help things.

 

As for the sad parts, I guess I'm just a sucker for cliche. ;D

Agreed, Mariko was lame and rushed. Then again, this whole anime was rushed... it barely follows the manga at all. But... I loved this anime so much, I even started to read the manga, because I was f***ing desperate for more. It's very good.

 

Yuka must die.

@Card - Since I don't really know what the Aesir or Nordic monsters do, I'm going to assume it's fine. Reminds me of a more powerful Honest, in a way.

...I thought that one other person had did that. Everyone else just pretty much showed obvious hate. But again, if Lucy just sat her ass down and listened to Kouta explained, this still wouldn't have happened.
