@ Cherry

... he's 13 years old.

At that age, when I just got back into Yu-Gi-Oh, I forgot about the 60-card limit.

Give him some credit.

And your brain does start working better when you're competing for command with another person.

Trust me, I know from experience.

@ Arm

It's for appealing the new age group.

Just like Starforce was. So... expect some similarities.

4Kids

@ Pinkie

Of course. Children's card games are normally played by... um... children?

@ Bindmonkey

Of course it's normal.

Ahahaha. I just made joke that was funny.

But seriously. There are people with catch phrases. "Bring it to 'em" is just a long one.

It's basically the message of reminder from his shark tooth necklacependant.

So he basically wears it to remember that phrase and to never lose hope.

Now explain to me the backflips4topdeck.

Childish belief that the more epic you make your draw, the more likely it is that you draw the card you need.

Also because Konami has to make it more flashy for the new age group that it's trying to entertain.

Even if it has some little logic to it, I'd rather say he was trying (and apparently succeeded) to put the card he needed on top of his Deck while he was far so that Shark didn't see it.

That's what I wanted to hear!

Now let's pick a better scenario:

Next time he duels, he is pushed back to losing because he didn't even bother to read his monster's effects. He repeats this thing, and fail horribly when he topdecks an Equip Spell.

The moral is: The only way a guy like him can win, is by being a main character. Or by cheating.

The issue is, if he had won using Archer, Aki would've been all 'HEY WHY DIDN'T YOU SUMMON MY DRAGON', and so he'd have high-fived only 4 hands. And a main character is not conformed with only 4 hands.

EDIT: There's also the issue of the final plot device. Without a Final Boss Killer, the duel would've been meaningless.
