The anime is appalling simply because the writers were exhausted and lazy. They told themselves that the original Yugioh took far too much out of them, both the anime and manga. Regardless, fans demanded the satisfaction of watching something new about it. So, the creators had to get an idea and get one fast, otherwise, they were going to lose so much money, it would've been a 9/11 for card games. With this, they decided to use a fan's persona as inspiration for an idea for a lead character. Eventually, they found one of their weeaboo faggot fanboys named "Jaden". This guy was a complete loser and reject at school and at home. He filled his life with cards while trying to come out on top of everyone with card games. But, the writers didn't give a damn and took the 'school' and 'card games' part and put it together to create Duel Academy. Then, they stole the boy's name and some random dude came out of nowhere and suggested the last name 'Yuki'. Thus, "Jaden Yuki" was born. Unfortunately, the devolpers of Yugioh still couldn't be assed to come up with anything good. So they got people with awful ideas to do it instead. These terrible interns came up with "Yu-Gi-Oh! GX" and ran it for three full seasons. Then the original writers of the first Yugioh told them to gtfo and wrote season four themselves. But the anime was so beyond fucked over, they couldn't do a single to make it like the first one, so they kept half of the theme Seasons 1-3 had and ended it before it got worse. I LOVE manga cards.They have the best OCG, card rulings are non-existant, Trap-Fields, Normal Spells=Traps, overpowered cards are 'fair' as everyone uses them, monsters have a different effect like every 5 seconds, etc, etc.... There was something about it, the bird like nose, the redish pink paint job with gold details, maybe how it goes seamlessly from streamline to jagged throughout the motorcycle. They also have card names that make no real seance. Firestorm Tidalwave-Spell-When the opponent attacks, draw cards until you reveal a creature of FIRE, and then give up life in 300s equal to that monsters level in order to summon that monster without a sacrifice.Its like noob-OCG on crack.
