The basic storyline would be this classic thing that I've tried to get through multiple times. Billions of years ago an alien race travelled to Earth. At this time, the aliens was roughly as technically advanced as humans, except that they had achieved spaceflight, and Earth was still a gigantic wasteland of sand and water. As an experiment, the aliens placed unicellular organisms in the water and then studied how life would evolve on another than their own, and if the organisms would evolve the same way as they did. After million years of evolution, the aliens realized that evolution on Earth had taken a very unsatisfactionary route when the dinosaurs ruled. Knowing that the reptiles wouldn't be able to evolve into civilized creatures the aliens erradicated them. When mammals started to grow and get smarter, the aliens were satisfied. When humans had evolved enough, and appeared as they do today physically, the aliens landed on the planet for the first time since they planted the organisms. The humans saw the aliens as gods, and the aliens acted as such. For many years the aliens acted as advisors for the humans, and with the aliens' help humanity created civilization. Even though the aliens were divided into different groups, they all had the same base of operation; Atlantis (which had different names depending on the group of gods; Valhalla, Shambhal and many more) However, a few years before the birth of Christ, the humans lost faith in the aliens when they started believing in a greater power (the Christian/Jewish/Islam God) and revolted against the aliens. Even though the aliens had the power to destroy humanity, they instead chose to flee into space. They did, however, leave Atlantis at the bottom of the Mediterranean Sea... The date is December 19, 2012. A young professor of Ancient Cultures is soon to make a discovery that will change the meaning of humanity forever... For your information, "Apocalypse", which is said to happen on December 21, 2012, means "enlightment", not "doomsday". This is why the professor will discover Atlantis at December 21, 2012. Blake Posted October 16, 2010 Report Share Posted October 16, 2010 One thing: Apocalypse is a Jewish or Greek(I think Greek) word that means the End of the World. The 2012 calendar does not use that word. Though, you are correct. Also, the Judaic God has been around since the beginning of recorded time, at least. It does? o_oYeah, in one of the old languages, Hebrew or Greek I think not sure though I'm leaning more towards Hebrew, the book's name is Apocalypse and was translated correctly through the various languages to give us Revelation today in English. Expedition (you gaiz) is formed to explore Atlantis. 3. Stuff happen. 4. Later in the RP or in a sequel the Expedition would find an unused escape shuttle (used by the aliens to return to their homeplanets (yes, homeplanets, each group of aliens have their own colony)) and get sent to one of the aliens' planets. 5. More stuff happens. It would also be a kind of Drama RP as I would figure out something that makes the Expedition unable to leave Atlantis.
