So I assumed that, after being dragged into this, he had enough with the Gods of Evil and made an attempt to live a regular life.... But what if Devack was a VOLUNTEER to become a Dark Signer, and maybe after he was "cured" a desperate hope to gain back the power of his cult, attempted to gain the power of Scar-Red Nova due to knowing the legend and becomes the vessel for Familiar of Scar-Red Nova's possession. Eventually he fights Jack but Jack wins because of "Burning Soul" and Devack is destroyed by the crushing temple. ...Then again this is what I personally would have done with him.
