Lightsworns Now

Recommended Posts

Even though they are Tier 2 they will always be Tier 1 to me. I mean i still continue winning Locals with my Lightsworn Deck and it's a Pure Lightsworn Deck nothing mixed and i always get in the To 3 Places if not first. And i have to go against Gladiator Beasts, Dark Synchro, Blackwings and many more. And they all play Starlight Road. But trust me after 2 Years of playing Lightsworn i got Used to Judgment Dragon and how Players React when they are in trouble when i Summon him and when they are Bluffing and they have Starlight Road or Gladiator Beast Chariot or something that destroys him. But still even though most of them got hit on the Ban List they can be considered as a fierce Deck and they are definitely Tier 2.

*sigh*

The Tier list(in order):

Tier 1:

Sabers

Inferns

Glads

Frog Monarchs

Tier 2:

Herald/Gadget Varients

QuickDraw/BW

Caliber Cat

High Monster Beat

LS

This is based on Tournament standings, Match-up Favor-ability, and deck design from what I've personally seen.

To say GBs are not Tier 1 is foolish.

There are many ways to play GBs this format, and control versions that run Rai-oh are exceptionally versatile. They have the ability to capitalize on the best defensive and Anti-meta cards, while still being able to run cards like Prisma. With so many tech options and play styles, it is hard for players to play against the deck.

Glads have to be the most consistent deck in this format. While certain decks like Inferns, and Frog FTK can draw really bad and lose because of it, Glads are highly resistant to this. Their opening hand is almost never terrible, and gives them many strong opening plays.

Speed is the only real issue that is keeping Glads back, but even then, a good Gladiator player can slow down, make you play on their level, and then lose. I have yet to see a deck that increases its chancing of winning as the duel progresses this format.

Another thing that most decks have a disadvantage against Glads is the side deck. While Glads have the ability to side in many different cards against the format, it is hard to find room in for specific GB counters. With most of the field belonging to X-Sabers, Inferns, and Frog Monarchs, the side decks are more geared to face these decks and not Glads.

I'm not saying Glads are the TOP deck this format, I am saying they have a lot going for them, that puts them in the top tier.

Wats wrong with BWs?

I won more than lost against Infernities' date=' Glads, Sabers with BWs.

Did the Infernities run Randomizer and the Sabers Anu Pirahna?

The Infernities had Mechanical Hound @ 3 and the Sabers used Sabersaurus lololololol (c im funy)

Lightsworns remain to be brilliant techs in a variety of decks because of their milling. Ryko goes in everything, for instance. I bet there are decks that could benefit from teched Lylas or Ehrens, too.
