Gogeta™
Marvel has made some bad moves for a while now. First they cancel Spider-Man 4 and decide to reboot. That already pissed me off, but now Edward Norton, who played Bruce Banner in the Incredible Hulk won't return in the Avengers. They also did the same thing to Terrance Howard who played Rodey in Iron Man 1. Marvel also has a history of not paying their actors what they deserve. Then the let Jeph Loeb ruin the Ultimate Universe with his Ultimatum and Ultimates 3 bullshit. Anyone else think Marvel is loosing their respect and likability? Feel free to share anything that you think Marvel messed up on.

Terrence Howard was asking for to much for the movies budget so it was ether pay him what he thinks he deserves and let the entire movie suffer from it or let him go hire someone better and let the movie not suffer at all. Edward Norton I believe is deciding to just simply walk away from the role of the Hulk so you cant exactly blame Marvel for that. Spiderman was at the end of the story anyway and was do for a reset. The only thing that ticks me off about this is that its was to soon form the first movie to. The only bad thing marvel has done in the past year really was sell out to Disney, But as Marvel was sinking in profits its understandable;

They need to introduce the Spidergirl era where there was an alternate storyline where Peter lost his i think arms and his daughter inherited his powers.I didn't see the new X-men movie but it'd be nice to see James's beginning as he became Wolverine
Taichi Masaki
Marvel is currently funking up! They canceled Spectacular Spider-Man!! AND Wolverine and The X-Men, but I see Iron Man: Armored Adventures is still on? WTF??!! Personally, imo, Spectacular Spider-Man>Iron Man: Armored Adventure> Wolverine and The X-Men. I really like Iron: AA, but I would take Spec. Spidey over ir anytime. As for Wolverine, meh? I just want my Spectacular Spider-Man back.
rhstanley3
ok, I am a marvel comic book fan at the core. Let's start with the spider man movies. Let's admit, they're entertaining to watch to the non-comic-book-fans, and you can turn your brain off and get something out of it. But if you know the comic somewhat, you suddenly realize that they f-ed up badly, really really badly. Toby McGuire isn't funny, like spiderman is supposed to be. He has no wit, and when the symbiot bonds with him, he doesn't have anger issues like he's supposed to, instead he turns into an emo-gothic kid who thinks he looks good. They took pieces of comic books and pushed and mushed them together, looking as bad as mixing multiple plato colors together and then taking some construction paper and sowing that on there, with an excuse that it looks good. And the lady who plays marry jane plays her completely out of character. Mary Jane is supposed to be the bad girl, who likes to party, and is loud, and is fun. But the lady plays her in a way that she's always crying, and upset, and angry, and emotional. They screwed up the entire series. In a way, im kind of ok with the reboot, and at the same time I'm loathing it. I'm hopping that they will fix everything that the original series messed up, but at the same time i kind of know that it's still going to be a f-up. Now, lets look at fantastic four. Now they screwed this up big time, and I thought I could deal with the first movie, where they basically did the same thing as spiderman with the plot and the plato. But it drove me nuts when they turned galactus into a giant cloud. that was the last straw. Again with the characters, susan is out of character. if you switch her personality with mary jane, then you have proper characters. and the guy who played johnny is a horrible actor. Silver surfer is probably the most in-character out of everyone, because he is monotonous, and all the actors could probably have voiced him perfectly. Oh, the pain! Captain America is finally going to come out, and he's supposed to be epic, but who do they have play him? None other than the guy who's the human torch. First off, he's a bad actor, period. Second, who in the hell casts someone to play two characters from the same universe? It happens all the time, but usually only in comedies, and it never turns out two well when these things happen. Did I mention he's a terrible actor? X-men Origins: Wolverine looked cool, but the effects were second-class, and they really didn't dwell to much over what I think is very interesting: Wolverine's child hood. They just kind of made him kill his father with bone claws, but they didn't really get into why he hated the man whom was his father and he didn't know. But I can deal with that. What I can't deal with is that they maimed and destroyed a character whom I consider to be interesting and over-all a great character: Deadpool. anyone see a difference? but enough about that, on to the next movie. Now, Ironman. Oh, the only good marvel movie out of all of the ones they've done, the ones I have mentioned and those I haven't. All the characters are wonderfully in character, the actors are good, the story consists of only 2 tales from the ironman universe, the one where he becomes ironman, and the one where he fights his first villain. It's not a story that looks like an 8-year-old put together. the tale of how he becomes iron man is exactly the same, the only difference being that the setting is different. The original setting was in vietnam, but they changed it to Iraq for the movie, in order to make it more modern, which I can deal with and doesn't bug me all that much. Iron man 2 comes out, and rodey is played by a different guy. And you know what, marvel has made a lot of mistakes in the past, but this was the right one. It's one thing when an actor is getting payed a lot, but it's another when a minor character is getting payed more money than anyone else on the set, including the lead actor, robert downey jr. And that was in the first movie, and then he wanted even more money for the second movie. If a minor character has an ego so big that he has to get payed more than anyone else, and then he wants more money, he can get the boot for all I care. And IMO, the new rodey was a better actor, so nothing lost. incredible hulk: i saw the one before the reboot, and it was just terrible. I'm not even going to talk about that one. As for the reboot one, I hear it was actually fairly good, and that the lead was a very good actor. I've even heard that if it wasn't for that particular lead actor, the reboot would have been just as bad as the original. So now I hear that marvel is replacing him, and not that he's walking away. Big mistake on marvel's part in my opinion. Considering all of the major f-ups that marvel has done over the years, maybe they are finally starting to correct some of their mistakes. I think that Iron Man was a big step in the right direction, so maybe the spiderman reboot won't be so bad, and who knows. Maybe the guy who's the human torch will do a better job in Captain America. Thor's coming out soon, and that should be really interesting (I hope :/) I know that a deadpool movie is slated for 2011, so we'll have to see that. Overall, marvel is beginning to make some of the right decisions, but they are still making a lot of bad ones. We'll have to wait and see what happens. rhstanley3
marvel is nowhere near dying. Yes, they were bought out by Disney, but this isn't the end of marvel. They've been through bigger things than being bought out. and if anything, now that Disney bought them out, they probably have a much better standing money-wise than DC. On a side note; DARK HORSE FTW!!!

Urai Fen
Whats wrong with you man, Iron Man 2 was AWESOME! Spiderman was at the end of his story pretty much. And they cant always make EVERY movie and character dead on the comics. Robert Downey JR. is an epic Tony Stark. And the reason that they still have Iron Man AA is because its a retelling of the entire Iron Man story, and they made the season finale promise a season 2, and Nickelodeon is gonna get yelled at if they dont deliver. Besides that, the other two shows probably didnt get good ratings. Also, IRON MAN ROX!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Urai Fen
Although i do have to agree with rhstanley3, Deadpool shouldn't have methodically been killed off. and yeah, it was retarded of Marvel to cast Torch and Capt America as the same person, especially with Avengers coming out soon. And the biggest mistake was not having Iron Man as an Avenger; come on, Iron Man was the second lead guy in the Avengers! Plus in Marvel What If; Iron Man was proved to be the greatest hero, taking over the world even! Iron Maniac's weapon was pretty cool wasn't it? cuz it pretty much makes Forge obselete.Im logging off now, so not really a reason for you to keep on going, Taichi Masaki. Cuz incase you havent noticed, you and me are the only ones still online. By the time i post this you'll probably be gone too though... *sniffle*
rhstanley3
lol, yes, i know they made nick furry black xD. my problem lies in the fact that they change the original character design made by the original creators of the comics, be the person Jack Kirby, Steve Ditko, or any of the other famous marvel artists. Master of Chaos™
Okay Marvel are not F***ing things up, they are actually pulling off a very Smart Move. For an example, think of Marvel and DC as 2 Players playing Chess. They have been going on for Years now and both of them are trying to pull off a Smart Move not to get Check Mated. Now Marvel has thought of this. They are plummeting with Profit and they need to save themselves from getting Check Mated. So the sell to Disney So what?Disney might Screw something up but have they screwed something up until now?No. A lot of Movies are coming out now and the only bad Character there is is Deadpool because they made him a Marvel Version of Mortal Combat's Baraka. So what?X-Men Origins: Wolverine was a Great Movie and we got to learn the Vengeful Crusader's History, and they are going to continue that with X-Men Origins:Wolverine 2. So i was sad Spectacular Spider-Man was canceled but honestly, what other Villain were they going to put Spidey to defeat? No one. So they are making Ultimate Spider-Man which Trust me is going to be Good. And they are making Spider-Man Movie and a Venom Movie. So if you look at it carefully, Marvel is winning.
