Creating a card game

I'm searching for ideas on text for my card game. I wanna find good wording for my game.

1. Show me your layout for creatures/monsters

2. Show me your spells (normal, continuous, counter, quick)

3. Show me your traps (normal, continuous, counter)

4. Show me your equipment cards (not a spell)

5. show me your fields (not a spell)

6. Show me your rituals (these are not spells)

7. show me your runes

8. show me your seals

It sounds awfully like Yugioh, with all the types of cards, but arbitrary divisions.

What do we need on 'Creatures'? ATK? DEF? HP? Mana Cost? Effect? Type? Sub-Type? Attribute? Archtype? Species? Wingspan? Speed to hard-boil an egg?

Without a full explanation of the rules, don't expect anything here.

Put more detail and effort into it.

God, even the card game that I created when I was in 5th grade was more detailed and thought out.

Seriously, it had fusion right from the start.

You had to have 3 certain monsters, put them in the grave, and summon the appropriate monster. Plus, it had a mixture of all three effects.

Regular monsters had more attack and defense, ones with effects you had to pay life points (Keep in mind you had only 100 life points, and the strongest monster had 25 attack points.) usually paying 10 to activate.

Spells also took life points to use, the more the more stronger.

Traps activated ONLY on your Opponent's turn.

Equip cards can't be destroyed except by the monster being destroyed or by certain cards.

God cards, you needed to pay half your life points just to summon, and had near broken effects.

Seriously, I thought of this before I was introduced to CED, and I still did better then you.

I am well aware of that. I will have fusion creatures but at the moment, I'm looking for text ideas. Though, note that I created Seals and Runes. Because I plan to give some creatures the effect of being sealed away.

Though, I'm thinking about reducing the ATK/DEF to 3 digits if possible.

I am currently working on the rules with friends. But I need the card text is actually what I'm looking for. Though you all helped a lot. But bear in mind that the Yu-Gi-Oh! rulebook says to follow the card when the effect conflicts with the rules.

Am I not correct?

Like we didn't have enough card games! Pokemon TCG, Yu-Gi-Oh TCG, World of Warcraft TCG, Digimon, Avatar, Beyblade, Dragon Ball Z, Naruto, Sonic, Teen Titans, etc etc. I'm tired of the whole thing! Trust me and give it up. Its for the best.

Most of those are cheap attempts to get cash out of a franchise. Not to mention you missed Magic, possibly the best YCCG, and Yomi (which, while not a CCG, and lesser known, is amazingly balanced). More card games could still be well designed, original, and successful. That just requires some good game design insight and quite a bit of persistence and skill.

Try this,

You have 100 Heart Points

You have 100 Mana Points

Creature cards:

Creature cards have Power points, and Sheild Points

Creature cards have between 0 and 99 PP, or SP

When a creature card is attacked, the Sheilding monsters SP is reduced by the attacking monsters PP, so for example

Furry feind 6 PP 3 SP attacks Great Mamoth 18 PP 15 SP, Great mamoth now has 12 SP,

When a card reaches 0, the remaining PP is deducted from the opponents 100 HP

Each card has a Mana cost, when a card is used, or summoned, the cost is deducted from your Mana Points, but some cards dont need Mana points, which are the few Item supports

Support cards:

Support cards are used to help Creature cards, or you in general

Support cards are split into Magic and Item support, Magic Support takes Mana, Item support does not

-----Magic support

Each costs Mana

They Mainly enhance your creatures abilities or PP/MP

Some also heal your HP

------Item support

Does not cost Mana

Mainly increase Mana and HP,

as well as rarley increasing PP/MP, but my much less then Magic support

There is also a special type of rule that the players can choose to implement or not, Heart card

At the begining of a match, choose a creature card, and place it right under the normal slots of cards, when your Heart Points reach zero, summon that card free of cost, with 8 extra PP and SP

There are 10 Creature slots, and 10 support slots, there are a minimum of 40 cards in your deck, a maximum of 100

Anything else you want to know ask me

Question: Why haven't you been working on a game?

You seem to have some alright ideas. And I would really appreciate some of your ideas being put to good use. Though before I could log back in, I found a layout for my creatures and other cards. Sorry. But I would honestly love to put your ideas to good use.

Thanks, it means alot to know people liked my ideas, the only reason I dont is because of card art, if I could get someone to draw them, then I could do it but, yeah, I have spent some time on a sample set, which is all about a mechanical reinforcement, where you take a normal human like guy, and add robotic parts to increase his PP and DP, like Lasers, Giant mechanical arms, but yeah, I have ideas, just no one to draw them

Cool. I bet if we work together we can get your game started and I have a brother that can draw just about anything. I'm sure he'll be happy to help with the project. If he says "no" then I can always ask somebody from Deviant to help. But trust me. Her pictures are well worth the money. Considering I want her to draw some images for me. The only thing with me is that to get these images, I need $640 per set that I want made. I need 64 card images at $10/image.
