if ur looking for something along the line of spellcasters try either a Secret Village of the Spellcasters Lock, or a Tempest Magican Burn deck, those r the only 2 decks i can think of that r decent for spellcasters

You post a deck here it will be evaluated next to top class decks. If you can't handle that then leave. This game maybe for fun, but you cannot argue that winning is fun. There is no real clear theme and some random cards. Like WTF is Kuriboh there for? Don't say cause he has a good effect or cause Yugi used him. Dark Magician should be in his own dedicated build and Dark Magician Girl is a bad card regardless of how you look at it. Contrary to popular belief Buster Blader (and Dark Palidan for that matter) are not all that great. I see that Secret Village is used, which is good, but why only one? Running more copies of your good cards let you draw them earlier and Village is actually a good field spell. I semi-apologize if I came off rude. I say "semi" because if you read the rules or even looked at other threads in this section you'd know this is how things are done. I truly hope you take this advice seriously or you might not enjoy your stay in the your deck section. Remember, we try to help making a winning deck.

OK, the way you meta deck people play is you find the cheapest way to win through different Archetypes like Lightsworn, Blackwings, etc... anyway i was saying that the game isn't as fun if your guaranteed an almost instant win right at the start. Decks like Frog FTK are just retarded and boring i like a duel that's fun i would not enjoy saying that i won a whole tournament because of a deck that everyone knows about and is incredibly cheep ...lol wat ever lol its all good and sure id like to seer the buidl if thats ok haha

YCM has this "fetish" where if you post a deck, others try and help you improve it.

By this, I mean we try to help make your deck more efficient in order for said TC to be able to achieve his win condition faster, regardless of how messed-up it is.

This way, you can still have a deck that fits your budget(provided, you have the cards we list and/or are willing to spend money) while still being relatively effective.

I was talking to the guy who told him to dump the deck for a whole new one. Also DMG could give you a 2900 monster with m- circle in this build. And looking at the good amount of tuners and counter users why not have citadel? You praise village but this seems high in counters... have you read an exemplar? All I am saying is you seemed to jump him for trying a new deck and then force feed him a broken boring meta deck. Maybe buster could come out but they all are decent cards it looks fairly easy to syhcro and arcaite plus tempest is usualy an OTK.

Not one time did I recommend a meta deck. I have used spellcasters long enough to know that DMG is a BAD card. You say that it could have 2900 ATK, but that requires a DMs in the grave making it too situational. As for being "high in counters" you really don't know how to run Spell Counters properly if you think this has a lot of counters. >.<

 

If you're going for Spell Counters then drop the DM , DMG and Buster Blader to add Endymion and Crusader.

 

You would also need to max out Breaker. You see there are a lot of different types of spellcasters decks. There is no top teir Spellcasters deck, but that does not mean one cannot make a good deck with them.

 

This is a list of spellcaster decks I can think of....you'd do better off with picking a version. (this does not mean you will run a set in stone deck because every deck has personal preference card choices)

Tempest Burn, DM, Secret Village (varients), and Spellnarchs.

...Lightsworns and Blackwings weren't remotely cheap when they were meta. Lightsworns were the most expensive deck in the format, and Blackwings were pretty expensive too between Vayu and Armor Master.

 

The way meta people work, is they try to find the most efficient and consistent way to win a duel. Decks can be for fun and still win. I was like you once... When I was 16 and started playing this game again, I wanted to avoid being meta at all costs, but then I realized that decks are meta for a REASON. It's cuz they're good, and winning is fun, you can't deny that. Some decks are extremely boring and scripted, like Gladiator Beasts (in my opinion, it's the most scripted archetype there is, and I find scripts boring), but others are plenty of fun. In fact the guy you shot down instantly for suggesting another deck type, was suggest a FUN DECK for you to use. AvengerDAD isn't remotely meta, and it's very cheap.

Now everyone in our duel circle is defending his deck.Im with "Anakenu" (what happened to your other..?) oh well..anyway,i might now really know what im talking about,but DMG isnt all that bad..and it WORKS with his deck..like,all those cards you guys have been telling him to replace or remove or whatever,those are all part of his strategy.

He might not be like a master duelist or what-not,but i still belive he could (POSSIBLY) own at least half of you with his deck right now...

I've built lots of Spellcaster decks, and Dark Magician Girl is not the best card to add unless you have a good way to ditch Dark Magician's, and even than you only gain 900 attack points maximum.

Ok, I'm kinda fed up with this crap now. I really don't care about any other poster in this thread but if you people cannot at the very least take criticism then never post in this section again. The rules of the Your Deck section state that decks are treated as "fix" topics. Which means we post ways to make it more competitive and if you cannot accept it then you shouldn't have posted it anyway. Twice I have posted HELPFUL advice, and it was ignored. I say helpful because the only thing I run IRL is Spellcasters, so I think I know what I'm talking about. I can't say I've ever seen 4 new members all join just to protect their friends deck. So one last time I'll go through this deck and say the bad cards...

I don't expect you to change. You'll probably say something along the lines of "This deck helps me win and you taking out all the good cards." I'm not asking you to do everything I say, but you have yet to acknowledge that I even comment. And if any of you did it was and form of NO. I did PM TC with a good DM decklist but unsure if it was taken happily. I do truly hate when people refuse to accept the facts...

This is a funny thread. From what I can tell, TC receives criticism, a poster says to dump spellcasters for AvengerDAD which is far from the topic, personal army arrives and criticizes good players for playing good decks (mainly AvengerDAD posting person,) and complains that good players want quick victories.

 

Good decks don't have to be tournament-winning. But, that doesn't mean that you shouldn't run a consistent deck. Inconsistency leads to frustration when you can never get your win condition out or play it too late in the game to do any real damage. Quick victories are best because longer games mean the higher chance your opponent gets their win condition easier. Also, long games are like female wrestling matches on WWE, boring. Quick matches are like good MMA fights, fun.

 

Off the top of my head...Dark Magician Girl needs her deck to power her up quicker, not be splashed with a Spell Counter deck. Cards like Elemental Hero Prisma, Armageddon Knight and Dark Grepher would speed up dumping Dark Magicians. Magical Exemplar, Toon Table of Contents, and Toon Gemini Elf can help Special Summon Dark Magician Girl from your deck by racking up counters with multiple Toon Tables (Play one, grab another, and another, then Toon Gemini Elf.) Also, Apprentice Magician, Night's-End, Old Vindictive, and Crystal Seers can work through the Apprentice Engine utilizing Apprentice to SS 1 of the said cards, then Tributing it to summon DMG.

 

Spell Counters...look for Jabber or Stein-Hakase. I think one them knows.

If you don't want to use a Meta Deck or whatever fine. I get it. They're boring, they're cheap as in don't require any real skill because they're scripted but you cannot deny the fact that they win games. Just because you don't want to use a meta Deck, it doesn't mean you should use a terrible Deck. Just because a Deck isn't meta, it doesn't necessarily mean it is terrible. The Deck in this topic however is in fact terrible. You would be best off taking the good advice and criticism given or just leave if you aren't willing to accept it because all you're doing is just being stubborn and wasting everyone's time.
