"Stardust Dragon" + "Portal Dragon"

When this card is Fusion Summoned, gain 500 lifepoints for every "Portal" monster in your Graveyard. You can pay 1000 lifepoints to remove every card on the Field from play. If you use this effect, this card is Special Summoned during the End Phase. You can destroy this card to negate the activation of a Spell Card, Trap Card, Normal Summon or Special Summon. If this card is Destroyed by battle, Special Summon 1 "Stardust Dragon" and 1 "Portal Dragon" from your Graveyard.

Nice one, I just think by removing all cards from play then special summoning a monster with 3500 atk during the end phase is a little op'd... Put something like lower its atk by 1000 or something or maybe a needing that the monsters are on the field to fusion summon the card ^^ but other than that, is a nice card 7/10

Seeing as how the thread title says "Portal Star Dragon" I shall review on the card alone.

181825.jpg

Card image is way overused and I do not see any kind of Portal or Stars near the Dragon or as a pattern for the Dragon.

"Stardust Dragon" + "Portal Dragon"

Well, now I know where the name comes from "Portal" From Portal Dragon and "Star" from Stardust Dragon these Materials are good and make up the name.

When this card is Fusion Summoned, gain 500 lifepoints for every "Portal" monster in your Graveyard.

Simple support with the Archtype.

You can pay 1000 lifepoints to remove every card on the Field from play.

Yeah... This effect is pretty broken because with the Life Point gain in the previous effect this cost becomes practically nothing.

If you use this effect, this card is Special Summoned during the End Phase.

This just makes it continuous and even broken than before if you keep the "Blow up the field" effect then take this part out of it.

You can destroy this card to negate the activation of a Spell Card, Trap Card, Normal Summon or Special Summon.

Yep even more broken.

If this card is Destroyed by battle, Special Summon 1 "Stardust Dragon" and 1 "Portal Dragon" from your Graveyard.

More broken.

Overall this card is insanely broken I mean if you have two Portal monsters in the Graveyard which you should already have one monster in the Graveyard because of the fusion requirement then the cost can hardly be called a cost at all its just an instant Judgement Dragon and if thats not all if a Spell, Trap or monster is activated it becomes a Stardust! Then if you manage to beat its 3500 ATK then you can just bring back both its requirements and use it again! I give this card a C- Simply because the image is overused and doesn't flow with the name and its way too overpowered.

@King: I find it more balanced seeing that you need two lvl 8 synchros to summon it.

In today's game these requirements are pretty easy to accomplish.

PLUS everyone knows a summon can be cancelled by a counter trap.

You seem to have forgotten this part of its effect.

"You can destroy this card to negate the activation of a Spell Card, Trap Card, Normal Summon or Special Summon."

PLUS there are heaps of cards negating attacks and effects.

So? What good would they be if they are blown up by Polar Stars effect before it can be activated? Yes the opponent could activate a Threatening Roar or Wuboko but then it just stalls for one turn becuase Polar Stars 3500 ATK will stay on the field for awhile. Still monsters effects won't activate unless the effects are activated when they hit the Graveyard such as Sangan

From the way I see it, The Pic has nothing to do with anything, This is probably a pic you thought was perfect for your card, and let's face it that portal Dragon and Stardust probably would look like that, I hate it when people judge a cards pic just because it has been used before.....I'm sure by now if we posted a card from our past we could be reminded that that pic has been "overused"

concerning the effect it's different from a normal Synchro fusion, and while it may be easier to synchro nowadays there are people that can go ahead and negate this thing from step one of it's summoning(though with Stardust Dragon it's pretty easy to just use Starlight road) but it be best to have the monsters in the Graveyard, Polymerizations are quite annoying in the first place so if you have to use a "poly" card in your fanfic I recommend Dragon's Mirror it would be more of an Epic Twist in the story.

Also I have read the effect a few times over of Portal Star Dragon and I have to say it's pretty good, you didn't make it a contact fusion which you could abuse if your opponent controls Stardust Dragon and you have your Signature Portal Dragon on field. The Negation effect is true to the Stardust Name so I won't touch that but I do like the fact that the monster does not return from that one, it's ONE negation and done I think people overlook that......., The "Portal Star Influx "(Random name, you can have it if you like it) removal effect is pretty cool in my opinion, I'm sure you have it for something important in the story, and since it removes your monster, causes no damage, and summons him when he can't do anything can really ruin your opponent's turn, so that seems likes something most cards do now a days anyway. The Life Increase move seems out of place however, I know he has his "Portal Star Influx" which requires a cost, but your deck should have other cards based on LP gain already, your Ace probably doesn't need it, I would just take that effect out but that's up to you. And the Final Move is a classic, so I leave it like that.

Now the other cards seem to have no real basis, I see a type of milling is used for their effects, but you should use that to an advantage, maybe the field could gain something for every Portal card sent to the grave, it would make them a bit like Lightsworn though, so that's up to you, just try to come up with something all cards have in common, if you want help you can PM me, I like helping out sets.

Thx for the excellent review, Lord JZ. +rep! It said exactly what I was trying to accomplish in reasoning.

For the cards in the Graveyard, there used to make Portal Dragon's ATK higher. Portal Star Dragon doesn't meet the character's deck until mid-late 'fic.

I would like some help with it. I'm not the best cardmaker
