Cards that trigger Dark Destapir

Recommended Posts

When this card is removed from play, you can select 1 Level 4 or lower Beast-Type monster in your Graveyard and Special Summon it.

Looking for ideas for cat synchro that uses destapir so if you can think of any card at all that triggers dark destapir's effect post it below. I'll edit it into the first post.

The list:

Gold Sarc

Unicorn Beacon

Phantom of Chaos

Future Visions

Soul Release

Chaos Sorcerer

Caius

Crevice

Gandora the Dragon of Destruction

Necroface

Nobleman of Crossout

Question

DD Designator

Return From a Different Dimension

Sky Scourge Enrise

Macro Cosmos and Dimensional Fissure though these cards would also prevent the card you want to revive hitting grave.

Different Dimension Gate

Dimension Hole

Dark Core

Big Bang Shot

Cards that seem like they should work at first but don't:

Bazoo the Soul Eater

Gigantes

Unsure cards:

Dimensional Alchemist

Cyber Valley

Different Dimension Capsule

Unsure cards:

Dimensional Alchemist

Cyber Valley

Different Dimension Capsule

Dimensional Alchemist: Unsure. Its worded poorly with the semicolon, but without "and", I assume it is removed first, then Dimensional Alchemist gains 500 ATK (semicolons are just fancy ways to combine two sentences anyway). In which case, my guess is that no because the last thing to happen would be the gaining of ATK.

Cyber Valley: Yes because removing from play and drawing 2 cards occur simultaneously. Apparently, it does not resolve simultaneously (COMMA says so), so it would not work =.=;

Different Dimension Capsule: No, because it is removed from play face-down and cannot activate from the RFG in that fashion.

Does Desertapir have to be Removed face-up?

No, it doesn't even have to be on the field when it is removed from play, but it must be face-up in the RFG area for it to activate.

You sure about cyber valley? I'm quite sure we're not meant to be using cyber valley in fortune ladies because it makes FL Light miss the timing.

How can you activate it if you can't reveal it to your opponent? Although fortune lady light can activate if removed from field face down...

It can't in the OCG, apparently.

No, Fortune Fairy Light would not activate if it is Face-Down in the RFG zone (this is what Different Dimension Capsule does, the card goes to the RFG face-down). In the OCG, Fortune Fairy Light's effect is "When this face-up card is removed from the field by a card effect...". TCG omits the "face-up" part and rules as such.

If that is the case, then Cyber Valley is worded poorly in the TCG. In which case it should say "then" instead of "and", or maybe we're supposed to assume this because of the "," slyly placed in there which is just conjoining two separate sentences which would be two separate effects. If this is the case, then Cyber Valley wouldn't work =/

Ruling from netrep:

If "Fortune Lady Light" is returned from the field to your hand, you can activate its effect. (If it was face-down you must show it to your opponent.)

Then Fortune Lady Light is clearly frustrating to rule >_> In the games, If it is removed by a card effect while it is face-down (such as to the Graveyard or RFG), but is face-up in the RFG or Graveyard, its effect doesn't activate. I am unsure why the hand is so special now. >_> Either the game is bugged, i'm doing something wrong, or lolBKSS.

Now's probably a good a time as ever to make another hacked save of YGO2010 since my sister deleted my other one and i can't test anything >_>;

After Testing:

Face-Up FLL removed from play with an effect (used with Future Vision): It works.

Face-Up FLL destroyed and sent to the Graveyard (by Raigeki Break): It works.

Face-Up FLL returned to the hand with an effect (used CED): It works.

Face-Down FLL removed from play with an effect (used with Future Vision as Chain Link 1 and Book of Moon as Chain Link 2. FLL is face-up in the RFG Zone.): It Failed.

Face-Down FLL destroyed and sent to the Graveyard (by Raigeki Break): It Failed.

Face-Down FLL returned to the hand with an effect (used CED): It Failed.

Either face-up or face-down, returning from the field to the deck did not activate (used with Back to Square One).

This is how it plays out in YGO2010 (OCG Rules). Only in the TCG does FFL activate when removed while it was face-down on the field.

Add Gigantes to the Cards that seem like they should work at first but don't category. I am sick of people who main him in ZeKat.dek. And D.D. Crow works, right? IF he does he will be a nice addition to the deck. He will be even more versatile.

Removes from opponent's Graveyard.
