El Majishan
So now that we lost our main source of s/t removal, what is the staples to deal with the back row this coming format? I see trap stun being a mained in many deck as well as the standard 2 MST. My question is, would trunade be the new heavy, or would cold wave fill its spot in most decks. Zauls
Well tbh, I always run Trunade over Cold Wave first. Primarily because I need s/ts to do what I want to do, and Cold Wave gets in my way, where as Trunade doesn't. I tend to run both now though since Heavy Storm is banned. El Majishan
I feel the same, but the good things about cold wave is that it stops them from dropping Gorz if they have non chainables set.
Zauls
Yeah, they both have their advantages and disadvantages, but for me, Trunade is always personal preference.
The Dark One
Cold Wave by a long shot. Trunade is only good for the OTK. Cold Wave gives a lo of freedom, and it can really set you up if you draw it on the first turn.
The ReBeL
well cold wave over trunade this format. why? Sets up for Black Rose, JD, and Dark Hole and opponent can't starlight. also it makes them waste solemn they want their traps to be able to be active. burnpsy
I prefer Trunade. [quote name='THe ReBeL' timestamp='1282505839' post='4554482'] well cold wave over trunade this format. why? The Dark Megacyber
I prefer to use my old friend trunade. Even when joey's starter was released, trunade was of my prefence. Yeah, i never liked cold wave.
-Lightray Daedalus-
Bait Doll/Nobleman of Extermination are as good as these this format... Mainly Bait Doll if Trap Stun is played like a lot... OT: Cold Wave over Trunade, can give you games...provided it is followed by a Nuke and you can prevent your opponent from raping you next turn(via Gorz, Battle Fader, Veiler), your opponent may be able to make a counter attack (that will be destined to fail or not)but will be unable to create a counter defense to you next turn... ~Jay~
I have soo many Trunades it's ridiculous. So I tend to place them in all my decks. Though I place them both to be honest :

If I had no Spells and Traps, but my opponent did, I'd run Cold Wave, Synchro For BRD bow away the field/JD/DH If I had Spells and Traps set, and decent ones, I'd run Trunade. But I generally run Trunade. But with heavy gone Giant w/ 2 MST. Sometimes i run Cold but thats rare
Dr. Cakey
My line-up this format seems to be 2 MST 1 Trunade 1 Cold Wave So...both.
GenzoTheHarpist
Both.
Tickle Me Emo
It depends on the situation which would be the superior choice. As mentioned earlier Trunade is best used when going for the OTK. However Cold Wave can set you up so your opponent is sitting in a corner bashing their head against the wall yelling WHY ME???? If I could only choose 1 itd be Cold Wave.
♥Łövëły-Ċħän♥
I like Trunade more because it gives you a chance to reset cards, recycle Swords, and clear opponent's back row. Set Bottomless, Trap Stun, have Swords up on it's final turn, Bribe Set. Play Trunade to clear S/T Maybe activate Dark Hole. If not attack. Reset/reactivate Opponent tries to summon, Bottomless. Opponent tries to destroy, Bribe. Opponent sets, your next turn, Trap Stun. Giant Trunade allows for a wider selection of combinations IMO. Great Unclean One: VK
Cold when not pushing for game and Trunade for a desperate kill.
El Majishan
Think my line up is going to be 2:MST 1: Trunade 1: Trap Stun I'm running MBaaS but I may switch it out for Cold Wave to see how it runs.
Manjoume Thunder
Cold Wave unless my big moves rely on other spells.
El-Rrey
Both cards' most seen use is to push OTK's but if the OTK needs S/T, run Giant Trunade, if not, then run Cold Wave!
Mr. Judgment Dragon
Depends on the Deck.
