Cold Wave vs. Giant Trunade

Recommended Posts

So now that we lost our main source of s/t removal, what is the staples to deal with the back row this coming format?

I see trap stun being a mained in many deck as well as the standard 2 MST.

My question is, would trunade be the new heavy, or would cold wave fill its spot in most decks.

Bait Doll/Nobleman of Extermination are as good as these this format...

Mainly Bait Doll if Trap Stun is played like a lot...

OT: Cold Wave over Trunade, can give you games...provided it is followed by a Nuke and you can prevent your opponent from raping you next turn(via Gorz, Battle Fader, Veiler), your opponent may be able to make a counter attack (that will be destined to fail or not)but will be unable to create a counter defense to you next turn...

well cold wave over trunade this format.
why?
Sets up for Black Rose, JD, and Dark Hole and opponent can't starlight. also it makes them waste solemn they want their traps to be able to be active.

Well in that case I'd consider both.

If I had no Spells and Traps, but my opponent did, I'd run Cold Wave, Synchro For BRD bow away the field/JD/DH

If I had Spells and Traps set, and decent ones, I'd run Trunade.

But I generally run Trunade. But with heavy gone :(:(:(:( Giant w/ 2 MST. Sometimes i run Cold but thats rare

I like Trunade more because it gives you a chance to reset cards, recycle Swords, and clear opponent's back row.

Set Bottomless, Trap Stun, have Swords up on it's final turn, Bribe Set.
Play Trunade to clear S/T
Maybe activate Dark Hole. If not attack.
Reset/reactivate

Opponent tries to summon, Bottomless.
Opponent tries to destroy, Bribe.
Opponent sets, your next turn, Trap Stun.

Giant Trunade allows for a wider selection of combinations IMO.
