Card Lore

1 Tuner + 1 or more non-Tuner Spellcaster-Type monsters
When this card is Synchro Summoned, place 2 Spell Counters on it. This card gains 1000 ATK for each Spell Counter on it. You can remove 1 Spell Counter from a card you control to destroy 1 card your opponent controls.

This card cannot be Normal Summoned or Set. This card cannot be Special Summoned except with "Assault Mode Activate". When this card is Special Summoned, place 2 Spell Counters on it. This card gains 1000 ATK for each Spell Counter on it. You can remove 2 Spell Counters from this card to destroy all cards your opponent controls. When this card on the field is destroyed, you can Special Summon 1 "Arcanite Magician" from your Graveyard.

Good card is good. IMO that is. Is a 2400 Beater which can grow by 1000 for every Spell Counter on it, making Spell Power Grasp and whatnot great with this card. Easily clear the field if your stocking up on your Citadels or the Spell Counters on this card itself.

His other forms, like his Assault Mode, I'm not really a fan off. Sure the Assault Mode can nuke the whole field, but that leaves you with only a 900 ATK monster.

His newest form though, the Supreme Wizard, I REALLY like. It dishes out the same destruction as the original Arcanite, but also has an effect to let you draw a free card. But what just makes me say 'meh' to this card is how it's effect is only once per turn, could've been a great card until they added that one tiny drawback that screwed the card completely over IMO.

Cool, another Synchro Fusion!

Arcanite/Assault is bad. Firstly, it must remove 2 counters FROM ITSELF. This reduces it to 900. I prefer regular Arcanite, which can keep its ATK if you remove counters from other sources. Regular Arcanite only gets its counters from a Synchro Summon, so even if Arcanite/Assault is destroyed, you don't get any real benefit from it. Considering the dedication Assault Modes needs, this makes Arcanite/Assault less useful and far more difficult to use than regular Arcanite.

Let's look at a lolobvious combo here:

Synchro Summon Arcanite Magician, then use Assault Mode Activate for Arcanite Magician A/M, use effect for a half-way field nuke, then use Miracle Synchro Fusion to bring him out. Profit?

Anyways, can't wait for Starstrike Blast to be released in TCG (This card is one of the major reasons why I am looking forward to the set).

Can't you use Citadel to remove them instead?

The art is epic yes :P very epic.

As for the effect, not really (in my opinion) since he can only use his effect once per turn.
