Guest Striker
A Spell version of Royal Decree. This difference is this card has a cost. Discuss this cards usefulness and the stupidity Konami had when the banned this card.

Guest Striker
Lol at implying that this should not be banned.B Stop being dumb. You see Royal Decree. It negates Traps with no cost and it is not banned. You see Imperial Order. It negates Spells with a cost and it is banned.

Black W Mage
if this wasn't banned, what would you replace for spells?
Guest Striker
Because spells = trapsStop being dumb. Spells can be worse than Traps in some situations. And remember, Imperial Order has a cost and Royal Decree doesn't. EDIT: A simple Dust Tornado can wipe this card clean since everyone can't use Spells. If Royal Decree is on the field at the same time, there has to be a monster effect that can rid them.
Manjoume Thunder
Some of your problems: 1) You do not realize that spells are way more important than traps.2) You think that paying 700LP is worthy of being called a cost.3) You do not realize that you can just refuse to pay the "cost" and freely use your spells.Stop being dumb. COLD WAVE (ofcourse you can't use your own spells for a turn, but that shouldn't matter too much)
darkwolf777
*Copypasta'd from Royal Decree Topic* Is there any particular reason Imperial Order is Forbidden and not this? Did they want Spells to be less vulnerable or was there some weird combination of Imperial Order and another card that was bad for the game? Or maybe because Imperial Order has an optional cost, meaning is not mandatory to keep around unlike Royal Decree where you're forced to keep it around until you can remove it another way if you wanted to use your own trap, while if you wanted to use a Spell Card you could just not pay its cost? Or in this case, it could be a free Spell negation that could effectively be costless to use (which would just make it like Trap Stun.. kinda). Outside of being able to willingly get rid of Imperial Order vs Royal Decree, i can't really think of any other reason without looking into other card combinations. There are a few things we do know though. Spell are faster than Traps, and the way Konami wants to treat Spells and Traps, the support for them are banned/limited,etc 1) Cards that generically recover any Spells from the Graveyard to the Hand are banned (Magician of Faith, Dark Magician of Chaos). Trap cards are not limited/semi-limited (anymore) to this (Mask of Darkness, or using effects like Junk Collector)2) Royal Decree which negates all face-up Traps and is legal, while Imperial Order is not. There's also Trap Stun which is also a costless Trap negation for the turn, but no Spell Stun (although Imperial Order could be costless Spell Negation for the turn, but again it is Forbidden, **sorry, make that "Until your next Standby Phase", not the turn**)3) Cards that allow Traps to be used as fast as Spell Cards for the turn are Forbidden. There's no way to make Spells faster >< So as the cost of Banning a Spell Card's re-usability and quick recovery to the hand (due to the Speed of Spell cards to use), there are less splash-able ways to negate a Spell Card without a cost it would seem. EDIT: A simple Dust Tornado can wipe this card clean since everyone can't use Spells. If Royal Decree is on the field at the same time, there has to be a monster effect that can rid them. If Royal Decree and Imperial Order are face-up together on the field, do understand that Imperial Order is being negated by Royal Decree, so you can just MST it or something. I do duel, but I use about 3-4 Spells per duel.2) 700LP per turn. Think about that.3) So can your opponent and if they have Dimensinal Fissure on the field they can go right back to bringing back their D.D. monsters. Now, if you don't stop saying "Stop being dumb" I will neg you.

Guest PikaPerson01
Costless spell negation for your opponent's turn is too overpowered. Spell negation for as long as you decide (IE, until you have enough s/ts to end it) is far too overpowered. Stop being dumb.

Guest PikaPerson01
This is the reason discussions on blatantly obviously bannworthy cards are so looked down upon. Since it looks like this topic will turn into a repetitive "no u" war, let's just close it up.
