Polar Star Beasts

Recommended Posts

Give them a Synchro Cat version that works for just polar star beasts, and give them a level 3 Beast-Type polar star beast with a decent effect than they will be alright.

It's too bad that the anime won't extend the playing of the gods other than the three basic moves each member does to get out their god so we could have more of them.

Or they will get a bunch of cards that will not be in the series...(They are the main monsters from the set after all, they should)
Like Reptiless got...considering Misty barely used any card.

Test the deck and then give your opinion. ;)

I'm pretty sure they mean "they're okay" or similar passive-aggressive distaste. They're not especially well supported right now, and although Blackwings were similar when first released, their individual effects WERE good. Right now, the only reason to run them is so you can summon Polar God King Thor. Compared to all the other archetypes and decks around, these just aren't good enough yet.

Tanngnjostr special summons their tuner.
Setting Hamster and going into Tanngnjostr is basically going Black Rose without using your Normal Summon or Set.
You could almso make Stardust if you want.

You don't -have- to make Thor. >__>

Does tanfdlkshg's (the summoner) effect activates when he is changed from face down defesne to ATK mode?

If yes, they are good. Definitely not as great as you make them out to be.
If no, they are s***.

And here comes I Like Children again, saying something like "They are good like I make them out to be".
I doubt if he/she actually likes children, by the way.

I'm not saying they're tier 1 material.
They're just another good archetype konami has somewhat been able to pull off.
Like scraps.

They're not horrible, but I doubt they'll go anywhere. Scrap continues to get support in later packs and has potential for cool comboes and uses. While sure, Polar Star Beasts COULD have potential, they're subpar now and unless they get some terrific support and more support, they'll fade into obscurity. It's too early to tell, but from what I can see, they're not going to go far, because Team Ragnorak will lose soon and the Polar Star cards wont see any more anime support.

Infernity were pretty meh until TSHD, then they got an explosion of support, due to Kiryu's arc in the anime. Unlike Infernity, Polar Star cards are unlikely to make later returns to the anime, and so are unlikely to get more support in later packs. What we see is what we get. I'll save my judgment until all of the Storm of Ragnorak cards are revealed, but until then, they dont impress me.

Because it's not enough to make them "good". They're subpar because so far they don't have enough support to make a deck that can hold up to the meta. They may not be utter trash, but they don't yet have what it takes to be considered "good". The searcher isn't fast enough, level 4 tuners are becoming very popular these days and almost any archetype or deck can find one that's more generic. They also seem to only have one or two combos, and most cards either need to be generic or flexible to be usable, because otherwise there's just better options. Right now, I don't see why you'd run Polar Star Beasts aside from for Thor.

You're heralding them as being amazing cards, that will be playable, even if not top tier. I don't really see it happening and think you're overhyping them. They could be fun, but there's what, 3, 4 cards in the 'archetype' now? They're cards used by a WRGP team featured in the anime (Team Ragnorak), but a sizeable number of DREV cards also had cards for a WRGP team's cards (Team Unicorn's unicorns and beast support), and I think Polar Star cards will go the same route as those: Interesting, but not enough to make an impact.

tbh the Searcher doesn't need to be lightning quick. At the cost of not being fast, he's almost never a dead draw, provided you have creatures for the board.
Tanngnjostr, Tanngrisir, and Gullfaxi all work extremely well with each other, and you simply make really easy synchro swarms with them, usually 2, but getting a Stardust or Black Rose on the board isn't that challenging in here.
As for support, you basically have a s***load of beast support. You can use Ryko, Hamster, and Desertapir. Running 3 of each Beast and then the other support guys, you've already got a decent monster lineup. Hamster works so well in the deck to add on to that. As you have several options for several situations.
As for cards working with each other,
Hamster searchers Ryko, Tanngrisir, and Tanngnjostr.
You can drop a Tanngnjostr off of anything being killed, and then procede to drop a Black Rose next turn (or whatever you could use)
Tanngrisir is a really good set card that works with the cards above, and can be used with Gullfaxi for level 7 or 10 next turn (or possibly other tuners, i need to test other tuners out in the deck which would expand your synchro options even further).
Ryko interacts with Hamster, and is just a really good card overall, as milling some of your beasts isn't that all terrible (not to mention it fuels avarice)
Gullfaxi can simply whip out a Synchro, and with the lasting field presence of most of these cards, it's not that difficult.
and with double sarc, double tapir, and unicorn beacon you can get at least 2 reborns in a game, expanding your field presence even further.
Also, you have other Beast cards such as Airbellum, which could also possibly work (I need to test, though)
You're not limited to just cards in an archetype to classify as support, you know.

Once again, I'm not calling them "omg the best thing ever", but they're a really solid archetype that works really well with beast support we have right now.

(and to the people who said if we had cat it would be good, the deck hardly benefits from cat whatsoever)

Polar God Thor is actually an amazing card, and not all decks have a consistent out to him. I know this doesn't mean "lol he's on the field forever gfg", but you've still got a lasting 3500 beater.

On a side note, Garm and Tanngrisir have potential to be very splashable cards as well.
