Quick correction to those new rules.

The search feature works now, so you may want to correct the description for rule 2.

And yeah, I just fixed it.

Haha I just realized that the stupid meme of Being stupid *insert Z-One* is against the rules is actually a rule! This is amazing!

... I do not understand what you are trying to say.

There was a YCM meme were if someone was stupid you replay saying "Being stupid is against the rules" with a picture of Z-One. Until now I though that was just YCM members being retarded as usual, but it turns out they are upholding the rules!

Also, rule 12 makes it sound like we need to be on our toes because rules can change whenever you want. Are we supposed to be psychic.

It's a joke.

But tl;dr - Just be aware that rules can change and if something is no longer against the rules, don't be an ass about it, or if something that was formerly legal is now against the rules, don't be an ass about that either.

... Just don't be an ass and you'll be fine. I could probably sum up all the rules with just that sentence.

Edit: Herp derp, necrobumping. Dont care. Stop reporting this post. >=|

Herp derp, minor update.

Just fixed a few errors, a few typos, and fixed the fact that it was stuck saying "

" at the start of everything because codes don't work or something.

Once again, if there's a problem or something needs clarification or you wanna argue a rule's legitimacy or something, feel free to post here. <_<

Are we allowed to post threads about deck discussions? I don't mean "Discuss T.G" stuff, because we can do it, rather about certain decktype, with OP including the most important cards, brief description of playstlye, sample decklist etc?

Like... how you mean? Because even then "Discuss T.G." isn't like... bad or anything (in this section).

On a completely unrelated note...

Idea for a rule change/clarification/whatever:

While the rules of Best/Worst/Reddest Card/Deck/Combo would still be in effect, would something like "Best out of the two cards/decks/combos that I am comparing" be something worthwhile?

Basically...

You can not discuss best Dragon, overall, but you can have a discussion over which card is better, Dark Armed or JD.

Would that be a worthwhile rule to add?

Comparing 2 unrelated cards seems to go along with the rules about 1 card or combo per thread rule. JD and DAD have absolutely nothing to do with one another, using your example, aside from they're boss monsters widely considered to be broken during their release yet have avoided the ban. Now comparing BLS and DAD is a little more credible.

I've been giving it some thought and I really think banlist topics should be against the rules, mostly under the whole one-card-per-topic rule. Most banlist topics turn into half the people obsessing over one card, half the people obsessing over another card, and the topic creator calling everyone stupid.

Thoughts? Suggestions? Questions? etc etc?

Guest - Sharpshooter -

I think legit banlist discussions should be allowed. What I mean is, say the March '12 list is revealed, someone posts a topic, and that becomes the Official Banlist Topic and any discussion regarding it has to be kept there.

Also, I do agree that the playmat topics should be legal.

Agreed.

Most TCG forums have a special section for what TCG is becoming and have sections for lots of other things. By limiting what we can actually do on YCM you are pushing members away to other sites.
