Snakes and Such

My friends and I are talking about breeding snakes throughout high school to have some extra spending money in college, because jobs aren't really... Well, interesting (/stupid)

We are selling ball pythons, and we found a list of the most profitable investments (cost of snakes/price for offspring), and found we could break even for the cost of the materials to breed in a good enviroment for the first year, with $500 profit per snake hatched after that point, price of food/water/etc included. This is, of course, if the popularity of the animals remains where it is now.

Discuss snakes and what you think of them, as well as how stupid (or not) an idea that is.

Snakes are really freaking dangerous, dude. My dad got bit by a rattler...but a python?!

Ball python =/= retic.

The ones we're dealing with don't get much longer than four feet, and while a bite can hurt, it won't be that harmful.

As said, Ball Pythons don't get much longer than 1 meter, sometimes 1.5. And rattlers are more dangerous than even a 6+ meter python, because they're so frickin huge and slow.

You have the money to buy/feed the snakes you need? Have you actually looked after snakes before? I'd worry about the snakes since Ball Pythons have a good amount of years to go.
