I see some people say "its a horrible card" when others say its great. but in all seriousness, if this a good card or not? evilfusion Posted October 24, 2010 Report Share Posted October 24, 2010 It's so good to be blatantly OPed and a horribly designed card. Like Chaos Emperor Dragon, but not as extreme. It doesn't take up any space in the Main Deck, doesn't require any investment of cards at all, and can steal your opponent's monsters without warning, so long as any player controls Machines and a Cyber Dragon, or DNA Surgery makes them all machines. Then it has ATK x 1000 per monster used. Also, it has protection from being stolen in the same fashion, since it can't be used as Fusion Material. This card is nastier to machines than System Down is, and that card is a pretty bad type-killer as well. Any one can use this card if they put it in an Extra Deck slot, so Machine decks with or without Cyber Dragon can't safely swarm at all, because if they do, they could get their field wiped to give their opponent a beatstick. I believed the no-fusion-4-u thing was just to prevent adding another 800 to overdragon... like, you know... 5 machines in field plus Overload<5 machines in graveyard plus Fortress on field plus Overload... evilfusion Posted October 24, 2010 Report Share Posted October 24, 2010 No, it's not a Fusion Summon, the same way the Neos Fusions aren't strictly Fusion Summons. But it lists "Cyber Dragon + 1 or more Machine Monsters" as the Fusion Material. It also states its ATK is 1000 x the number of Fusion Materials. So yes, the monster sent for Fortress are considered Fusion Materials, and Fortress itself can't be used as a Fusion Material. Strictly speaking, it was properly Special Summoned and it's a semi-nomi, so you could revive it, but it'll have 0 ATK since no Fusion Materials were used for the revival. So, it's a Fusion Monster that uses Fusion Material monsters to Summon (but no Fusion card), but it is not considered a Fusion Summon for all intents and purposes that specify "Fusion Summon", like Chthonian Polymer or Fusion Recovery.
