I'm still reeling from how awesome Brutal Truth is, particularly Need to Control and Sounds of the Animal Kingdom. Really unique deathgrind, reminds me of Gorguts at times.

That has to be my least favorite from At the Gates but I still jam it occasionally.

Also, another new envy track with an accompanying music video. This is shaping up to be great, as expected from what is probably my favorite screamo group.

Yea the envy guys seem like cool dudes, and I love their split with Thursday. Their split with Jesu is also incredibly rad.

The envy tracks are worth it, and the Jesu tracks are pretty chill so it's good to relax to.

eh i might check it out next time im in the mood for some Envy

listened to Projector, really dont get why its so ignored by many fans, its honestly one of DTs best albums, very dark and Gothic with a nice melancholy depressing sound, it totally took me by surprise and i love it

You should, it's pretty great and you can always ignore the Jesu tracks haha.

Projector is a cool album but I think it's easy to see why it's overlooked in favor of albums like The Gallery and Fiction

true, it is a lot different than the rest of their albums, i still think its really underrated. maybe i just like it because im a bit of a sucker for Gothic influenced stuff. i still say that Fiction is my favorite by them, but id definitely put Projector somewhere on my top 3 Dark Tranquillity albums.

i still have yet to check out The Gallery

The Gallery is considered their classic album for good reason, but I prefer The Mind's I. I also love Fiction and Construct

Everything they've done rules. Calculating Infinity is probably the best for me, it's right up there with other metalcore classics like Jane Doe and We Are the Romans. Everything else is all in the same ball park though.

eh i feel like the only person who doesnt care all that much for Calculating Infinity, i dont think its a bad album but i dont see it as all that great, besides the fact that it was one of the originals. if it werent for Ire Works then it would be my least favorite.

I just like it because it was the band at their most raw and I think it has the most jazz influence out of the bunch.

Ever heard of Ion Dissonance? Very similar to Calculating Infinity but way more abrasive and technical. I've only heard their first album though.
