Draco Straybyrn
I wrote a story for a class, and I hope y'all like it. The year 2020, and the future isn’t all that bright as it was made out to be back at the beginning of the century. Supersoldiers patrol the streets, and people stay inside as much as possible. There is, however a spark of hope for the dim bulb of today’s United States. Back during the 2012 elections, Chuck Norris ran for president. He used his mind-control powers and threats of roundhouse kicks to the face to bring himself up to the top, and won it out. After that, America began plunging into a deep despair, which is where we are today. An allied force, assembled during the elections, dug its way down into the middle of the Earth’s crust layers, so as to have an underground base surrounded by impenetrable rock. My name is Mattison Enloe, and I lead the revolution. I can remember the beginning. At first, it was just a joke. Chuck Norris is running for president? That’s funny. But then the polls started tilting towards him, more and more, faster and faster. That’s when we made our move and went underground. In 8 years, we’ve created a stable society of 80,000 people, but this year is the year we strike back. This is the year that America regains its true glory. After Chuck Norris was elected, it happened. The skies turned black. Rains of soldiers fell, and received not even the slightest shock upon impact. They would hit the ground, leave a 2-foot crater in the spot they landed, and just walk on as if nothing happened. Biologically Enhanced Augmented Restructure Soldiers, they called them. Supposedly for the good of the people. More protection? From what? We were the world’s superpower, and these BEARS were simply bad news for everyone. Well, everyone but the rich. Ah yes, the rich. The rich, who fueled Chuck Norris’s ad campaign. The rich, who blackmailed the other strong competitors to drop out in the beginning. Corruption is the key word here. Corruption, distrust, menace. The rich who helped live in the lap of luxury, getting anything they want. While the poor are killed, starved, tortured every day. Do they know it’s wrong? Yes. Can they do anything about it? No. Did I help them do something about it? Yes. We flee and hide as much as possible. We save those about to be killed. We have to thieve from government warehouses to survive. Petty, yes, but true all the same. World War Three was a big disruption in America. It started with Al Qaeda bombing Japan in 2010, and then all hell broke loose. When Germany partnered up with us to win the war, we were in German laboratories for a time. It must have been that someone working for Norris stole the armor blueprints the Germans were working on. The thing is, we’d stolen the armor suits off about 100 BEARS, and modified them to our pleasing. Their armor, when inspected, was interesting. It was extremely dense and protective, but fragile. The right set of shots, blows, or otherwise could have it down in seconds. Obviously, there were problems we had to fix. When it was finished, a soldier in it stood seven feet tall on the mark. A reflective face panel hid all views of the head, while an HUD provided advanced battle tactics, information, and sensors. The outer hard-armor layer was about 900 pounds in itself, with the black skin-fitting plated jumpsuit was approximately 100 pounds. Altogether, our soldiers were something to behold. I awoke an hour early on the 25th of January. It was the day of the revolution, and the people would need a morale boost. After getting up, I took a shower, and got dressed. I myself had a set of the modified BEARS armor, and proceeded to put it on. It feels different than anything else in your life will. You feel powerful, but at the same time, you almost don’t know how to use it. I gathered up our stock of weapons and ammunition and brought them to the center of the outpost. The other soldiers would be out and ready to go soon, and we needed to strike at high noon, when Chuck was in his office, and easiest to get to. At 10:00 AM the soldiers assembled. We were ready to go to war. For an hour, we marched. We arrived at the spot determined to be just behind the White House, and went up. With speed of a cheetah, we ran. Rushing, blurred images of green and gold. Bullet fire came down upon the BEARS, and 2 went down. 100 of us versus 500 of them. Outnumbered, but not out skilled. 3 shots to each of the BEARS, and they went down. Precision was key. After charging through, we crashed into the White House. Only a few BEARS lined the hallways, and were taken down instantly. We rushed to the oval office, but were stopped halfway through by a massive army of the BEARS. It was unbelievable, and completely unplanned. I stood and fought for maybe half an hour, but as soon as it reached 11:45 I dashed off on an alternate route, trying to make it in time. At 11:55 I made it to the Oval Office, and was greeted by 10 BEARS. It was a brutal fight, and I broke my left arm during it. It mattered not though, as the armor was quick to inject painkillers and control my arm for me. Eventually, I remained the victor, and walked in. There he stood, Chuck Norris himself. Clad in only his black tights and headband, he just stood. I dropped my gun. No honest man would shoot someone without a gun, and I challenged him to a fight. He started off with a punch, but I saw it coming. My reflexes were above those of an average human, and it wasn’t hard to dodge his punches. But then, he did his traditional roundhouse kick, and nearly hit me. It was then when I knew what I had to do. I moved my leg back, and thrusted it upward in a circular motion toward his face as quickly as my armor would let me. He tried to grab my leg, but 30,000 N was too much force for him to handle. My foot hit his chin, and crushed right through his skull. The supposedly undefeatable Chuck Norris had been beaten at his own game, and there I stood, bloodied foot and broken arm. The second he died, the BEARS went crazy. Their suits started malfunctioning, shocking them and burning them. Imagine being shocked by 50,000 megawatts of electricity, while being burned by 5000 K of heat. These soldiers all felt it at the exact same moment. There was one outside who was just about to kill me, and I saw it happen. The most gruesome sight I’ve ever seen in my life. Upon inspection, no other soldier than I had survived. A great loss, but for a greater cause. They will be remembered for years to come. After the revolution, the people came out of hiding. The poor were given money and land, and America became balanced. The constitution was amended to include further punishments for treason, and war plans. A new president was elected. Life became pleasant, and we got to see daylight. January 25th, 2020. Long live the revolution.

The Slime Lord
Yes. Paragraphs are good. It might also look better double spaced. I mean, giant wall of text.
Draco Straybyrn
I copied it straight from word right before I left this morning. Guess it didn't do paragraphs. >_> Iunno.
