I'm a "Legendary Member".

I remember the days when Legendary Members were extremely rare. Back then, there were maybe three or so active Legendary Members. They were very well respected and often praised by other members. Being Legendary back then didn't mean you were some trendy new member who posts so much that they get it in a couple of months. No, it meant you had taken the time to contribute much to this site. Bar Ragnarok1945, the Legendary Members were all mature people. We looked up to them. I look around the site with disdain - joining more than two years ago makes me feel like an old man. Back then, people took more time. They thought when they posted, they made points, they seemed adult. Now it seems that any old trendy noob spammer can make their way to the big 5000 is a couple of months at most by spamming with their pointless threads and shallow messages.

Legendary Members don't deserve that title any more. Maybe once, a long time ago they did, but not any more.

OT - Honestly, when you put it all in perspective, all you are is a frequent poster in a card forum. Posts mean nothing, and neither do stars or titles in evaluating how "legendary" you are. If you have a big problem with this, maybe ask YCMaker to change the default member titles? ;D

Things change. T'is the natural evolution of an expanding community over time; the number of posts one can post increases with the number of threads, which increases with the number of active members, which increase naturally over time. Thus, achieving high post count will be easier and easier.

Post count still doesn't matter, though.

Sites grow, more people join, more topics are created, more people post and more often.

But in the end does it matter?
All we do it mindlessly chatter.
Even back then I'm sure it happened.
Sure, some moods would be dampened.

But who gives a f***?
We are all on this site, so we have no room to talk.
We all can be called "schmuck."
For this site has up trapped, we can not walk.

But then again, who cares about post count? It's a children's card game forum created for the sole purpose of posting cards and discussing the card game.

Stress relieving is only a plus side to that.

I remember that. It was better. Also, I joined over 2½ years ago, young one ;D

Also, if anything, we should have a class that the truly ledgendary members (Chosen by the mods, people whio have been here for over a year) are in. Not by post count, but by "election".

...
How can one become "legendary" on a site about children's card games?
Quit with the whole "Children's Card Game" thing.....
On Topic, having a seperate User Status for Legendarys would be awesome but would encourage Elitism...

We should have Legendary Members elected, kind of like Mods but without powers.

No. We have enough of a popularity system among members. Now you want such a social thing to be CEMENTED into the forum? Just come off as friendly, mind your manners at all times and people will come to you for advice and help. That would be the equivalent (without a title), or is that difficult for people?

Guys you do realize that you look stupid with all the Ima cold hero stuff right? <_<
Bah YCM is full of retards but I'm the only smart guy who notices it, who cares, it means nothing to me, heck it surely means nothing to be considered "legendary" on a stupid children's card game forum. And yet you all come to the site and even bother to post in a topic like this.
So don't try to tell me that you just come "for teh lulz" or to see the retards, you come because you want to and can't get off for crap.

As for legendary members, I have my mental list of people who belong in there but looking at this thread, there aren't even a handful of people who posted here that are on it. And most of them are on the legendary ego list so that's not better.
