Dementuo
Always used Dragons. Always had them as my main deck. I usually side a few of those cards. Here's my normal Side Deck: Tuner's Scheme Vanguard of the Dragon Super Polymerization Troop Dragon x2 That's pretty much it for now. I might update this deck once a new ban list comes out, but for now, enjoy.
Zeppeli Gyro Supreme
I counted over 50 cards. Take out non-essential cards until you have 45 or less, please.
Dementuo
Meh. I'll leave 'em all in there. The deck still wins almost every time. It's pretty good. It just depends on the deck it's facing. And plenty of people tell me to take cards out, but I leave them all in.
Zeppeli Gyro Supreme
Trust me... It will run a lot better when you fix it. I have dueled people who say they win all the time with 100 card decks (which are actually illegal), and they say they win all the time against other people. But that's only due to luck, or your opponent's being really bad at playing/having only crappy cards.
Bringerofcake
Also, above 50 cards is against the rule of this board. So unless you want your topic to be locked (and based on your standpoint on deck editing, it seems you don't care), then I suggest you at least make your Deck 50 cards at most. Dementuo
1) I find it hard to believe that I can't post a legal deck here. (FIXED) 2) I play Magic in EDH formatting, so I'm used to a larger deck. 3) Going back to 1. The limit is 60 cards. I can't fathom that I would be required to post only 50 card decks, when the limit is 10 cards more. (FIXED, though I still find it strange that the limit would be 50) 4) I understand you trying to help, but I'm fine. I'll look over the rules again. (Done) 5) So you duel against 100 card decks? Ok. Doesn't change anything about me.I go up against a bunch of different decks, and none of them are bad. Most of them are actually pretty good. 6) Refering to 5. If you want to badmouth me or my opponents, then please, get out of here. This forum doesn't deserve that kind of disrespectful talk. Of course, it's your choice to stay, but I would appreciate you being a little bit more considerate of how others might feel. 7) I appreciate the help, again, but seeing as neither of you are staff, I think I'll be fine.
1. While you are legally allowed to have a 60-card deck, and it is a rule to have 50 or less cards in a deck here, it is must more consistent to use a 40-45 card deck. You are a lot less likely to draw into hands of all a certain type of card, your deck is more likely to draw its key cards, you draw limited and semi-limited cards a lot easier, and you are more likely to pull of your combos. That is why people almost always post 40-card decks. 2. That's fine, but YGO is a different game. Keep that in mind. 3. Nothing really needs to be said... 5. My local toruneys were always half-filled with decks over 50 cards, and those decks never made it to the final 4. Even the ones with around 50. It's my experience that those decks are usually too inconsistent with their strategies. 6. I'm not trying to badmouth anybody, I'm just trying to say that things are different than they can seem sometimes. When I was in middle school and dueling, everyone used decks 60+ cards and there was always a winning deck, but as we matured we found that smaller decks worked a lot better. 7. Just because we're not Staff doesn't mean our advice isn't valid. We're only trying to help you, and keep you from having to be talked to by Staff... Bringerofcake
I'd rather here a bit about how my deck could be improved, besides removing cards. That's why I posted it here.
If you mean A) that we can take out any number of cards in the deck, so long as we leave the exact amount of cards in the deck total, then I can work with that. B) that we cannot remove ANY of the cards at all, and only add cards, then we have a problem. Adding cards would only make the deck even more inconsistent, and (as I haven't done a total count of the deck) we would only be able to add <10 cards anyway. Also, I can't seem to identify your true win condition. I know it has something to do with Dragons, but does it centralize around beatdown using REDMD, or does it use Drago-equeste, or what? Dementuo
I would prefer to not have people floodin this thread with "You need to take cards out" and stuff like that. That's really my only problem. About the win conditions... It's a complicated deck. There really isn't one, but I usually go for Shooting Star or Red Nova as soon as I can. evilfusion
Removing unneeded cards is key to improving the deck. Nevertheless, I'll TRY to stick to that insistence. - Polymerization (I see the combo with 3 White Stones, but it's too inconsistent, especially at 1) - Bait Doll (Funny card, but returns to the deck, and your deck is big enough as it is) - Decoy Dragon + Dragon's Mirror (2 is better than 1) + Mystical Space Typhoon (...just better) + Foolish Burial
Dementuo
That... I guess it's alright. I'll think about the Poly, Bait Doll has always been a friend to me, but I see your reasoning. Decoy Dragon, I need to keep. It works too well as a defense, since half of my strategy is spamming the REDMD revival effect to synchro quickly. MST, I know I need one. A second Dragon's Mirror? I might need throw that in. Foolish Burial? I am an idiot for not thinking of that.
evilfusion
Decoy Dragon is horrible. Even with your high level dragons, there's so many ways around it that it's not even funny. At most, it'll provide a shield for a turn or two, and you only have one, so you're banking on them not having a counter when you play it, and you having REDMD, a Dragon Synchro, or a Blue-Eyes in the graveyard. Also, your deck has very little drawpower, makng your insistence of 50 cards even more problematic in terms of speed.
Dementuo
I'm trying to get a couple Trade-Ins and Cards of Consonance for a draw engine. And about Decoy Dragon... I need to think about taking him out.
