Canadian
Go, Chainable Monster Reborn! Pros: - It's Chainable (Hilarious to respond with Kristya when they are going for a Synchro) - Can generate +'s when the correct monster is grabbed (Sangan, Dandylion) - Can save you from a Direct Attack (Big beatstick in Graves are still useful!) - Abusable with Bouncing Cards (As seen with Premature Burial due to it's speed) - Allows for more Synchro Possibilities or other purposes (Going for Gyzarus) Cons: - It's at 1 (Less Consistancy) - Much slower than compared to Monster Reborn - Prey to S/T destruction and dislikes Trap Stun (One could even argue that MST negates this...) Discuss a card that in my opinion, is a staple.
Great Unclean One: VK
Use when you no has Monster Reborn. Hell, I even used this card....... Until I got Monster Reborn.
Sephiroth_The_Legend
It's playability has slipped over the years. I remember this used to have a spot in everything, now, there's just no room for it. It's a good card, but just outclassed by Reborn.
evilfusion
I still consider this a staple in all decks. Its weakened by the fact that Tributes, Synchros, and bounces leave a useless Continuous Trap on the field that may stop things like Gorz or Treeborn to work for you. It's slower than Reborn, but I consider both of them as mandatory in my decks as Mirror Force and Torrential Tribute.
Black W Mage
I like how decks with their own watered down version of CotH use them at 3 (I.E. Wattkeeper) and run no CotH.

No seriously, we do not need a bajillion revival cards. Currently the meta has too much field swarming ability, we do not need any more. TheTurtleOnceCalledGod
I'm talking about what would be good for the game (you just lost it), not what would be fun to play in. True, triple monster reborn would be a lulzy format, but you really think Konami has the sense to pull off a joke like that (inb4darkhole). Wrathos
Your opponent has 2 set Bottomless Trap Hole card. You have Monster Reborn and Call of the Haunted. You need to special summon that beater in your grave to win. What do you do?

JesseB
I have this card In my deck (and monster reborn) and only used it once to bring my Horus LV6 back. But, it needs replacing, I need to prepare my dragons for anything, and I mean ANYTHING! And this card, I don't know if it can help me against buster blader.
I suppose if you knew that, you would activate Reborn, target your monster, and chain with Call, targeting the same monster ad Special Summoning your monster at resolution. Monster Reborn tries to resolve but fails due to the loss of the target and the chain ends.

But if the popularity really is declining, it'll probably be spared the banlist again (Monster Reborn...probably won't)

evilfusion
Simorgh wouldn't do any good. It stops cards from BEING set, not Set cards from activating. It is slower, but I don't feel it lost staple status in most decks. Decks that don't run Traps in favor of speedy OTK/FTKs obviously have no use, or cards with archetype specific revival with no catch probably wont use this.
